I would play off the New York Yankees.

Invest in putting diesel engines on stray icebergs.

    Or none of the above.

If a person spends their time making posts like this, they can be assured of wasting so much time (as I'm certain this is a one and done) that they will never realize that dream, let alone make enough money to cover the cost of a happy meal.

I'd say that I'm just as bad for responding, but I'm exactly 19 days away from my retirement party, so I don't care. lol

I guess you are going to be well off during your retirement. The avg retired person never saved much during their life time, and some have to choose between a happy meal, and their meds...

If you do not have hopes and dreams...
        You pretty much have nothing....

So work until you retire, then realize
you have less now, then when you were working....

Some people even dream of find a better job, then
they realize they will have the same dead-end job until
retirement, if they are even lucky to have a job that long....

The problem with having hopes and dreams is that you're usually surpassed by the person who has plans.

Since you didn't 'quote' anyone and I was the previous post, I'll assume, correctly or not, that your snide comment was directed at me.

      If so -

lol. Sorry Laurence. My post was directed at the OP. Even it the OT forum, these post drive me nuts. I WAS responding to your post, but my unambiguous negativity was certainly not directed at you. You have always conducted yourself as a 'prince among men.'

It is I that probably should develop some better 'table manners.' :-)

      No offense intended.

      Thank you.

P.S. Additionally, my post was pre-morning coffee. You'd think I would know better by now. That never ends well.

I would open a vacuum cleaner store in Wooster next to The Sweeper Store. I'd sell my Riccars for $1 and would not stop until The Sweeper Store was forced to close its doors.

Then I'd buy the bank that holds the store owner's personal mortgage. Then I would call the note.

Once the owner was homeless, I'd use the rest of my funds to outbid him on any homes he tried to buy. If he attempted to rent, I'd buy the house from the owner. I wouldn't rest until his wife left him and he was living in a tent in some godforsaken field somewhere.

Then I'd offer to buy him lunch. When he suggested, as he always does, that we go to The Green Leaf, I'd have my henchman shoot him in the stomach so he could feel the same pain I felt that last time we ate there.

(Yes, I would destroy him because he was once responsible for me having a bad sandwich. But, hey, that's what billionaires do.)

But then they wouldn't be poor so you'd have to take it back from them. That would make them poor again, so you'd donate it back to them, which would make them not poor again. And so on, and so on, ad infinitum.

B.S. - more like the dreaming people do about how they will spend their lottery winnings...

Learning "money management - investment" is understanding how to make your REAL income stretch to pay your real-life bills/expenses - and have some left over to invest for the future.

Of course that's never as much fun as planning how to spend money you don't have....

Why do garden gnomes smell so bad?
So that blind people can hate them as well.

Notify the bank of their obvious mistake.

This kind of question fascinates me.

Let's change it from a billion to a million dollars. Why? Because some people actually have a million dollars. First you ask people who have little money...and then you ask people who have actually earned a million dollars the same question "What do you do with it?"

And you see the stark difference in answers.

Why? Because the people who aren't the millionaires would do things that spend the million...almost always very quickly, and the millionaires do things that increase the million

Wealthy people usually don't think or act the way poor people think they do.

So, in practicality, you'd be poor.

I would invest some to give me an income that was way more than I'd ever need. I would buy the house of my dreams and the cars of my dreams. I would holiday wherever I wanted, whenever I wanted. I would give some to family and friends.
