They say that you shouldn't expect a certain outcome or whatever and enjoy the process but everything ive tried i hated the process. - Acting, gymnastics, healthy eating, working out, every single one of my goals, ive just loathed. So what the hell do i do in life, nothing because i cant stand any hard work? I know im depressed and im on anti depressants. NO NEED to tell me crap. i just need to know if others feel the same way. No advice just if you feel the same.

Yes, sometimes I feel the same.

Why did you post this if you don't want anyone to say anything?

Sounds like your antidepressants may need adjusting if you have been on them and still have zero positive in your life.

You need to go back to see your licensed mental health professional instead of talking to a bunch of strangers about this.

And whoever told you the process to becoming lean, fit, famous, rich, etc. is all enjoyable is full of crap.

Once you post something like this, you lose control of what people reply with.

And the "crap that people say" is sometimes because they or someone they love has lived through it and they know what made them better. In other words, they can relate. They've lived through similar situations. They know what it's like. But they overcame it.

For starters don't take advise from Social Media about health and nutrition, since most of it is BS.

They recommend 4 fruits a day and or 4 vegetables a day, which is excessive and over the top.

Any fruit and or vegetables a day is beneficial.

Same with exercise, they recommend half an hour a day of strenuous exercise, or if isn't beneficial, more BS, any exercise is beneficial!

The list goes on, so don't take their advise at face value, since the Phar, company or keep people chronic to sell their S***t is behind it all.

Hard Work, ok, apart from the Casino, pretty much everything else requires hard work, but it all depends on what is hard and what isn't.

I do flyers full time, and it is certainly work, but hard? Apart from a constantly sore finger, that is it.

My definition of hard work for me is waking up at 6 or 7am, p****g away 1 to 2 hours in peak hour, spending all day doing something dull and repeating it all the next day.

Doing flyers and compounding income, isn't hard work for me, it is more fun or challenging than anything else.

Most if not all people consider playing computer games to be fun, and some make a lot of money from that by playing in tournaments and posting it on Youtube.

But if you just came here to rant then l probably wasted my time!

If you hate every single goal you set for yourself, maybe you should not set any goals for while. Maybe giving up your goals will set you free...

You said: "They say"... who are they? Do you really have to listen to them?

If you hate the things you do...maybe you should stop doing those things. Yes, why don't you do things you like to do, then you will definitely enjoy the process.

This is just very simple logic.

I would like to offer some advice and that is you need to talk to a medical professional on your mindset , as for asking if others are they having a shit day 99% will say yes!

But it is how you deal with it and what you have done for others that makes it better! you see wanting it all for you is not best way to deal with depression helping and giving to others will make you feel great and you will be in happy place

I would offer up some time if you have any to a volunteer program to help others

I know exactly how you feel, and feel exactly like you do. I have take all sorts of antidepressants over the years, and still have no found anything that works, on top of that, I cant work as I have chronic back pain, and those 15 min general doctors care even less by trying to sweep you under the rug, and I know exactly what it feels like too want to do the things you want to do, but depression keeps you doing the things you want to do; sometimes you may have to force yourself to do things such as exercise, and exercise does have its benefits, and may somewhat decrease depression, however, it is still a catch-22 because I do not want to do some of those things myself; Over the last two months, I got diabetes, and doctor put me on Metformin which is god sent, as I lost 15 pounds within a 2 week period, but at the end of the day, it does not take all the depression away; at the end of the day, you may need to go see a psychiatrist, as he/she maybe able to put you on something that your general doctor may not want to give you.

Some people just can not understand what it is like to lose your entire life to depression, and it does not care if you go to work, go out, do things, have fun, do the things you used to do before you got depression....

I was not born gay, I just am....
    (I am not....)

I was not born with depression....
    however, I have depression now.....

    what I am saying is:
You can not cure a gay person any more then
you can cure someone with depression. If the drugs work
for you, then count your blessings, for everyone else, drugs
and medications may never work, not everything is 100% curable.

Mark Singletary is right on! You may need an adjustment with your medication. Often a psychiatrist will add a small does of another antidepressant to give you a boost. I know; it worked for me.

Maybe work on "Yourself." Finding more anti-depression techniques etc. (Maybe CBT or Mindfulness.) Or maybe working on your Self-Esteem and other aspects. Personally I found Personal Development books helpful.

    P.S.
In terms of IM/Business choose something that really helps/benefits People somehow.

Enjoying the process is tricky. It can be done and many do it, but it's not easy. That's the thing...we all want it to be easy.

Growth, as humans, comes when we do hard, painful things. It's not always the process that you enjoy, but the results you know will come if you stick with the process.

Outside of a professional, which I am sure you already know you need, I would recommend reading books by very positive people. There are numerous authors out there you can latch onto that have been there, done that when it comes to being depressed. Heck Og Mandino nearly killed himself before becoming a successful writer.

Surround yourself with as much positivity as you can and start finding a way of becoming aware of your own negative thoughts. You have the ability to change your thoughts, but that means another one of those processes.

My guess, part of the issue is a lack of completing anything (could be wrong here). I struggled with that for a long time. I found that my goals were far to lofty for the time frame I expected to achieve them in. Making an adjustment so that I could reach my goals and finish processes, even if I hated them, helped me gain more self-confidence and become more of a positive person.

I know this might not matter to you, but I will keep you in my prayers. Nobody should go through life depressed to the point where they hate everything.

Focus on your dreams not the process to reach it. Look for things that will make you happy not need to plan on everything you do. At one point some would feel the way you're feeling but it's how we cope up with it.

I think your premise is faulty. Why do you think you have to enjoy the work you do, the effort you put forth.

People exercise every day, and hate it. I sold vacuum cleaners in people's homes for 40 years, and didn't particularly enjoy it.

Sure, it would be stupid to be in a relationship that you didn't enjoy. But work?

Why not just accept the fact that you won't enjoy any process of self improvement, learning, or even work....and do it anyway.

Happiness is over rated. And all the examples you gave are things you are doing for yourself. Want to be happy? Help others. Teach what you know. Help people less gifted than yourself. And don't ask for anything in return. That's the secret to happiness.

I don't enjoy the process of picking up my dog's poop when we go for a walk, yet I endure and do it anyway. I'm thinking of making a fake grass cup that you can just lay over the poop so I don't have to pick it up. That would make the dog walking process much more fun.
