The "Cloud" Is Really A Tape And May Get More Expensive.

Hey All,

Storage in the cloud sounds so futuristic. People tout it as something akin to magic. It's really just a collection of "old school" tapes and might be about to go up in price.

The tech industry worries that if Sony or Fujifilm knocks the other out of the U.S., the winner will hike prices, meaning higher costs for the big cloud providers

I personally have a 2T external HD, cost like $50.

    True, l also have several external backup drives, although these days Operating Systems are becoming cloud based or having privacy in your actions and endeavors is becoming a thing of the past.
