look into getting an electric pressure cooker.. and or an air fryer ..

the electric pressure cooker can actually be easier than a micro wave.. and you can cook with far less sodium or batch cook stuff that you can warm up in a microwave over a few days .

look on you tube

in any case the tv dinners and premade super market meals tend to be loaded with a lot of salt ..and a bunch of chemicals you may not want to put in your body every day ..

only time i look at calories on food labels is to compare it with salt ..my rule is if it is a finished meal and not an ingredient if it has 100 calroies and like 300 mg of salt or 3 times more salt than calories .. you may not want to eat it all that often .

unless iit fresh fermented food ..not industrialized packaged foods ..

It's been a LONG time since my uni days when I ate a lot more microwaved meals than now, but my favorite back then was frozen meat balls from M&M Meat Shops (Canadian thing maybe?). Dump them into a pyrex dish, put the Diana sauce on them and microwave! M&M would probably never sell them to me if they knew I did that...

Make your own. You like to cook so just make a big batch of something. Get a vacuum sealer, plate it up seal it up then into the freezer. One rainy day of cooking could put a few weeks worth in the freezer

No point askin' Moi nuthin' 'bout culinary excellence cos I can't cook for sh*t.

Proly I should pump a HOT millennial cookbook out there, yanno ... 50 Shades of Total Frickin' CARBON.

But, hey, yeah -- microwaves are kinda my salvation, though I gotta remembah if I got a salad accompaniment sittin' alongside my STUFF GOTTA BE HEATED UP, prolly it is best to add this after the microwavin'.

Las' thing I need rn is lettuce floppier than unsummonable manhood.

Meantime, ima really enjoyin' NOODLES rn.

If you can spare an hour on Sunday afternoon to slice and dice, fry a little something which once had a face on it, you can whip out two minute mug recipes, from breakfast sandwiches, muffins, lunchables, and quick, tasty dinners.

My usual hour is spent chopping (thanks slap chop guy) onions, celery, carrots, green peppers, and frying up a little hamburger or sausage, chicken or turkey.

Then using ready mixes, JIFFY CORNBREAD for example and some Bisquick or other baking stuff, mix it altogether and do a two minute meal throughout the week.

Also, usually do some instant brown rice, noodles or ramen and that hour a week, and some microwave mugs or containers, presto.

But Stouffer's has "good enough" in a pinch.

What, you havn't tried "Claude's, Culinary, Cookup", (the short name is,....never mind) tv dinners, shame on you!

They come with desserts also, although they are having serious issues with the whipped cream, after nuking it for 8 minutes, but reliable sources inform me that they are putting in thickener agents into that, so that should retain its shape, (more lard, cement, etc).

Here are some of my favorites...

• Bangers and Mash and Donut/cream dinner for 2, aham one.

• Roast Turkey and vegetables, with ummm, a jam donut with cream.

Here is one for all of you health nuts out there, Garden Salad for one,...........with a donut, cream, icecream, a cherry and hundreds of thousands,.....and a chocolate bar, since the salid is rabbit food.

Delish,....

PS l am sure AU will get the last one soon, after the court action has been settled, and the drug testing.

I like the Atkins meals, since they are low carb.

I also like Stauffers's. Walmart always has some good sales of some type of frozen meals.

My wife really likes the Chicken Pot Pies. Those things are delicious.

For me it's mash potato. The brand escapes me right now but it is the natural mash potato brand. That is really the only frozen food I really buy.

i tend to judge places by how much i like their pies

my favourite is weymouth, i ordered an apple pie, must have been on a health kick day

i ended up with a rather good steak and cheese pie sprinkled with icing sugar

Possum - peanut fed.

Every November is the harvest month for peanuts. Possums in the dozens dine in the harvested peanut fields. We use our pickup trucks to run back and forth through the fields and chase down the yummy critters and throw in gunny sacks.

Recipe:

Place the possum in the microwave.
Add one week of peanuts.
Add one week of water.
When the water and peanuts are gone.. microwave.

Enjoy

Bachelor tip: Sometimes you have the frozen family sized dinners that take 7 minutes in the microwave but taste better cooked in the oven, but that takes 40 minutes.

Divide each by 1/2 and cook it for 3.5 minutes in the microwave and 20 minutes in the oven. Cuts the time almost in half and the food tases like it was cooked in the oven.

I do this for baked potatoes too. Depending on size and how many, pop them in the microwave for a couple of minutes then in the oven for about 22-24 minutes. They taste like they were coked in the oven the whole time.
