How to get a list of all female/male names in USA?

Spent lots of time searching the web, yet apart from different "Top N" there hasn't been a single full list of those. I might give Big Query a shot, but I'm not sure if it's there.

Does anybody know any paid of free services that provides that kind of data?

As I understand the question you are asking about 'names' rather than 'people'...right?

If so, I doubt you will find such a list. Some countries have the same names used over and over - in the US parents often make up new words to use as names for their children. In a country with a population of 325+ million...would be a lot of names.

Yeah, I'm looking for a distinct list of names. The more the list the more I can rely on it. We export bio and business emails from Instagram at high volume and customers want us to make a gender filter possible. For now we don't know any other way to mark them male or female apart from relying on name.

The suspense of not knowing what you want to do with these names! Marketing is sometimes (some will argue ALWAYS) a numbers game, but the time you're spending trying to get all of these names could be spent focusing on just a few thousand and turning them into passionate buyers?

Even census and tax data is not 100% accurate or representative of all the names in a country, and since that data would not be easy to obtain, any other paid or free data would probably be useless?

I suppose census data to be precise more then enough for us, I've found the census bureau and they have APIs, spent couple of hrs digging but the apis are so hard to understand and the site is so government-ish.

Also found a thread on reddit where people collected 1.5k names, I suppose this list will be like 55-60% precise, so we'll have a try with that one first.

I've also found couple of services that provide names APIs but those are too expensive at volumes. We're about to run millions of names through system, so I'd prefer to just have an internal database of those to rely on.

I always search on the web. you should type some phrases for the result like; "USA boys name list", "Names of girls UK", etc.

Why would you waste your time looking for all those names ? Why not just focus on the most popular names in one year. Start with 2018, than go back 10 years look up most popular names in 2008 than in 1998 than every etc the list would be big and you will get a why number of people to target if that is what you are looking for. 20-30 years from now don't be surprised that the top names sound more like Middle Eastern & Central American names.

It is a matter of precision as long as we're scraping millions of people and their emails from Instagram for our customers to make a targeted email marketing. And for some customers Gender is very important so we're aiming to rely on Instagram users full name to mark gender

Please use quote rather than separate posts as it's hard to tell who you are answering. You can also use 'classic view' by clicking on your forum name
above and choosing 'view classic' from the drop down menu.

You are talking about scraping millions of emails - but then refer to 'targeted' list. Those lists may be 'categorized by demographics' but not necessarily 'targeted email lists' as many marketers refer to it.

I doubt that you will find such a list somewhere. If the Internet is not available, no one will give you such a list.
