...hurt just thinking about this test or is it just me?

https://www.eatthis.com/over-50-here...-starting-now/

If I were a betting man, I'd say the odds of me doing this successfully right now are exactly zero percent (0%).

Never fear though! With a positive can-do attitude and small incremental changes to my diet, exercise, and other lifestyle factors, within the next 20 years the odds should increase dramatically and double my odds now! (See if the down under folks see how this works.)

When I was 18 in great shape I could not do that..

When I was at my worst shape 8 years ago I need a hand to help up or a wall to stand back up. Now one hand and I am standing no problem. Depending on my back it could take a minute to stand straight

If I don't go out I do at least 50 laps of my breakfast bar each day. I also take multi-vitamin gummies and D3 ones. This has resulted in my nails growing faster and being firmer. Not to mention my knees feeling less painful when crouching down.

Have you tried the Claude Whitacre diet? ...No?....neither has he.

Is that the one where you only go to places to it with calorie counts on the menus . Look at the highest calorie counts . The food item then the price and order.

That item looks tasty and it's has more calories per dollar spent so it must be a deal

That is the math run by the majority of people who ten to believe the quarter pounder it bigger than the 1/3 pounder because 4 is bigger than 3

      Look into that one

Doing too many laps of the breakfast bar will get you to where you can't pass this test.

The Claude diet? I suck things down whole without chewing, is that it? Ergo, I can't even imagine doing this test much less actually trying it.

I may record my first few attempts and see if I can get some views/laughs on YT. LOL

I am on restrictions again here where I am and was not motivated to exercise at all but just started again....lifting the furniture, going back down the stairs and up 3 floors. Squatting with the 50Lb water bottle and those lovely pushups. Gotta have em.

You got this. Begin making normal routines an opportunity to stretch, do a couple reps.

I was at 50 pull ups at the beginning of my workouts before last lockdown...came back to the gym and completed ONE!

The human body is amazing. You will see your improvements so quickly. Where you had to take a break before you will keep going.

I seldom eat red meat knowing how long it can take to fully digest and some never wants to leave your colon ever.

There are high energy foods out there.

And A blender is cool for green shakes or mixing just about anything healthy.

About to start another Instagram on Anti-Aging. Should be fun and def will have income potential as well.

You journey is content. Share it. Use that as motivation.

Could also turn into additional income stream.

I just use some 5kg weights, and do about ten pushups, the rest is Palettes or using body resistance, (you could probably order the weights online.

I also do stomach exercises to overcome that, (decreases, colon cancer by 40%).

Once you get into the fitness groove it is piece of cake.

But if you start from a challenging scenario like obesity it is triple challenging.

    Physically and Mentally.

Because depression and anxiety to see results can send you right back to the delicious goodies that got you that way.

If you can keep your eyes on the prize and MODERATE you will get to the finish line.

Trying to cut something out entirely is sometimes counter productive unless it is major like caffeine and alcohol then go all the way and quit if that is your desire. Moderation may prove to be very difficult.

True all that. However, I still "hurt" just thinking about sitting down and standing up without using hand or knees to help. But I have made a new resolution. I'm going to get to where I can do this. Apparently, "normal" people can. I'll have to find a therapist to handle the anxiety about it all first. LOL

The same normal people who can do handstand push-ups and calisthenics flags

Or people who do yoga and pay attention to their health in positive ways

Wealth and financial security in advanced years help determine how healthy you will be as you go

This ad is meant for people like me. Age and sitting in front of the computer too much has meant now I have belly that I am struggling to lose. I am only fat around my gut, my waist is still slim, and my hands and legs, but my belly is starting look like early stages of pregnancy. I hate it. I hate getting old and everything that goes with it. I need to exercise more....

They say that admitting there is a problem is the first step to change. I've had my wake up calls and continue to have them so I figure I better wake up before I don't one day.

Sitting is my big issue. And eating that goes with the sitting. And stress that goes with the sitting. And the lack of sleep that goes with the sitting. And the no exercise that goes with the sitting.

So, while Homer Simpson said that alcohol was the reason for and the solution to all our problems, mine may be sitting. LOL

...agree, I am a recovering xyz...so I know exactly what you mean. Although I like food as much as the next person, I don't think I eat that much. I am torn between needing to earn money and exercise. I know that will sound like an excuse to everyone, but that sums it up for me. I aim to walk around 3 miles every day. Which I do almost every day. But I don't consider walking exercise, although my doctor would. I am old fashioned, I think of things that involved cardio or weights as exercise. So, anything that gets your heart beating faster and sweating.

I have a friend, I considered him much fitter than me, and he had a major heart attack at 42. He was NOT overweight at all. A smoker, but someone who was active, a gym goer.

For me things went downhill after 40, I got diagnosed with something, not life threatening, but it does reduce my quality of life, which means I need to start earning money working from home. Hence why I am torn between being in front of the computer trying to earn money vs being out and about. Anyway, I am more fortunate then most, I managed to put some safety when things were got, so I shouldn't complain.
