Super Bowl Thread...

I will parts of a few games between doing work around the house. If Dallas plays at the level they played last week. They should head straight to the Super Bowel. Have no real favorites but always like watching games played in Green Bay.

Son and d-in-law are headed out soon to meet friends at a favorite sports bar....everyone dressed in bengals logos and colors - to watch bengals play (Packers?) this afternoon.


Football is a yawn for me - for some reason I have never had an interest in the game. Love to go to baseball games, though...go figure.

Nah, l will be watching the playoffs with Novak, against his opponents, or good against evil, and l may even watch the tennis?

Caught parts of both games. The Bengals won their first playoff game in 30 years ? Plenty of Penalties to give the Raiders a chance to almost take it. 2nd game in Buffalo was a yawner No mistakes by the Bills. Sent the Patriots home for the off season.

Yeah the Cowboys really muffed it up at the end. Do not know what Prescott was thinking running up the middle with 10 seconds to go and no time outs

I was at the "Fog Bowl" in the snow in Chicago when they robbed "Da Bears".

I am a fair weather fan to the point where i don't watch the games....just check the scores....but...it's the local Bengals!!!

Saw this headline...brutal.

I assume they are referring to the seeded positions. I am sure will be cool big game.

If a wager was made last week. Would of taken San Fran and The Chiefs.

Watch parts of both games. First check the score and the Chiefs were leading in the 2nd quarter. Thought good bye to the Cincinnati . Turned the game on later to catch most of the 2nd half. What a great turn around by the Bengals. Their Defense step up when it had to. Second year Quarterback Joe Burrow played excellent Ball. Looked more like a career veteran.

Thought the Rams did a excellent Job in coming back to Win at home. Thought the Rams made a big mistake earlier, using up the 3 times out early in the 2nd half. Especially the last review.

Will avoid the hype train up to game time. Will pick the Rams but would not be surprised if the Bengals score a big Upset.

Isn't that a way to say 'we predicted wrong and don't want to admit it'?

You know I am not sure who I will be rooting for in the Super Bowl. Part of me wants to see the Bengals win because of past disappointments. The other side wants me see Stafford take the win because he was with a mediocre team ( the Lions) for so long. And it would be nice to see a veteran QB like him take it all.

But anyway you look at it I think it is going to be a great game. Look forward to it very much

The marketing here is phenomenal. My family went to Cincinnati twice this week and came back with 'bengals stuff' from everywhere they went.


As long as they don't use the official logo, etc...businesses are free to exploit this great opportunity. Every business they went into has created 'bengals gear' by using the orange and black on their own logos, etc. From what I've seen, they are very imaginative and are selling at low prices which means these businesses are selling a LOT of stuff.

It's been a great boost for local businesses recovering from the pandemic.

Lots of excitement here this morning - my son and his wife and five of their close friends.....just left for the airport. They are headed for the SuperBowl.


Bucket List time!

Big game with an hour countdown. I tell you what I keep flip flopping in who I want to win. I think a win for Cinci would be bigger to their City than LA; economic wise, mentally and emotionally for the fans etc..etc..

So maybe I just decide to root for them lol. LA has the Lakers and Hollywood and a lot more. So what the hell, go Bengals go !!

Yeah the Bengals have nothing to hang their heads low about. They played a great game. And I expect to see them in numerous Super Bowls in the future with the Burrow at the helm !!

Watch most of the game. First the game was suppose to start at 6:30 they could of skipped the Rock intro (Agree about the riod comment above ) IMHO. Turn it off as soon as the Half ended. .Came in the Bengals were leading 20-16 in the 3rd.

Was very impressed with Burrows, to bad the offensive line did not protect him. Off Season they should draft a few big guys up front. Thought he was not coming back the way he grabbed his knee. The defense was excellent shutting down the rams running game.

Wanted to see Stafford win the big one. But mostly stayed neutral the entire time. A Donald made the key stops the last minute to end the game. Probably will retire but thought it was stupid they asked right after the game. Kupp got his bell rung in the end zone.

They need to adapt the Targeting rule like College Football has. They eject the player from the game when they are called for un-sportsman like conduct. It would protect a lot players in the future. Several miss calls earlier in the game on both sides of the field.

All in all was not a bad game at all. The Bengals will be back in the future, if they keep Burrows healthy. He will have a few Super Bowl wins if the future. If the money is spent to build the front line.

I'm still waiting for my family to get home from LA. They had a blast but I still think watching the game on TV is much easier....
