Plans for Thanksgiving ??

My son and his son just arrived from Atlanta a short while ago - they are our only out of town guests this year. There will be 7 of us - full turkey meal....I did most of the prep and baked pies today. We'll fry turkeys and make more food than we can eat....


which is good, because I love thanksgiving leftovers!

Cheryl and I are going to our in-laws tomorrow.

We're in Orlando for the holiday. The resort canceled their holiday dinner at the last minute and it was too late to get any decent reservations, so we ordered Bob Evans and will just sit by the pool and enjoy the day.

We were a little pissed at first but we're in Orlando and our family is in Ohio. Silver linings...

Well, now that I've zapped about 3 dozen spammers here this morning, I'm off to the kitchen

Yesterday I learned a valuable lesson.

If you are invited for Thanksgiving dinner, and when you get there at noon, everyone else is on their third martini....and you and your wife don't drink...

Don't engage in discussions, just agree with whatever is said....and keep your observations to yourself.

It actually went much better than it could have. Thanks to Cheryl tugging on my sleeve at the necessary times.
