Is it OK to laugh at someone else getting hurt, if it's caused by their own stupidity?

PS...The video is named incorrectly...It has nothing to do with Shaq or Kimbo.

I've never found stupid to be funny. That dude is just a run of the mill retard.

I laughed. If someone has an accident, it's not funny. If someone is showing off and bragging and falls flat, it's funny.

hahahha this video is funny. I guess it is okay to laugh sometimes in the reasonable manner! But, yeah it's hilarious if someone is bragging and ended up getting hurt.

I agree with you two...I laughed pretty hard. It isn't like he had to do it. And I think we're laughing at the consequences of his decision and not any pain he has.

This guy has the worse survival instincts I've ever seen. Talk about jumping out of the pot into the fire. Every time he rolls, he rolls the wrong way...I've watched it a couple of times and laugh each time.

Whoever laughed at that video laughed more at the stupidity of the video, and less because of the pain that guy felt.

If you enjoy watching pain being inflicted on others (or enjoy inflicting it on others), then you're sadistic.

ROFL! I'll admit I laughed pretty hard at that, but I'm not sure I was laughing at someone else's pain as much as the fact that he was trying to be cool and failed in spectacular fashion. Someone should have told him no one can really tell if a BBQ is actually hot on camera, so...hahaha!

But that has nothing to do with this video. The idiot is showing off - and does it to himself. If you inflict pain on yourself - it's not sadistic - it's dumb.

How immature do you have to be to think it's impressive to jump over a burning grill? If he made it, still would be dumb - but wouldn't be funny.

But somewhere - another idiot is probably trying this....

Face it - if we weren't meant to find this one funny, this video would not have been created. It's the antics involved that make this funny.......not the fact that the guy experienced real pain and damage. Had the same thing resulted from an actual uncontrollable accident, no one would be laughing, and this film wouldn't have been in existence.

      HIJACK ALERT!!!

Can you spot the chainsaw in this photo?

Test #2...if you find this funny, you really are sadistic.
I think the first video was created as a goof, so laughing was appropriate.

      This photo? Not so much...

I didn't laugh, but it did bring a smile to my face.
Only reason is I've worked in trees a lot and have a good friend who still does.
Both of us have been close to that situation.
The smile is because I'm thankful that's not me when it could of been so many times.

As far as the first video, that was funny as all get.
Definitely a 'man' moment gone bad.

Holy Crap KJ - did that guy live? Did he avoid getting cut? You are definitely right - you'd have to be completely sociopathic to find this one funny.

        That was just on TV.
After the "devil" jumps over them, Priests come by and bless them all.

Everything with this display and event is all wrong.

If you are inclined to priest's blessings, wouldn't you want the blessing before the "devil" attempted to jump over your baby as opposed to after?

Ok, I'm willing to laugh at people making fools of themselves (and that includes laughing at myself when I do), but jumping babies is just plain insanity.

        Hi Rich,

This is the caption for the picture.

A man dressed in a red and yellow costume representing the devil, known as El Colacho, jumps over babies placed on a mattress during traditional Corpus Christi celebrations in Castrillo de Murcia, near Burgos, northern Spain June 6, 2010. The northern Spanish town has for centuries chosen to protect its young from evil spirits with the unusual ritual in which a man dressed as the devil leaps over mattresses each holding four or five babies.

        Bizarre, but true.
