I just found an interesting article that reminded me why I had decided months ago who I definitely would not be voting for.

Is America really going to do this?

    To be honest I've always thought Melanie Phillips was a bit of a nut job, the first paragraph confirms it for me:

    "This is the fear that, if he wins, US defences will be emasculated at a time of unprecedented international peril and the enemies of America and the free world will seize their opportunity to destroy the west."

    It will come as no surprise to find out she writes for the Daily Mail :-)

      Must say this stuff is largely paranoia mongering.

      I might be less sceptical if significant numbers of terrorists were
      actually being apprehended and legally and successfully prosecuted
      on both sides of the pond.

      The American supported IRA had more impact on Britain and the
      British than this War on Terror paranoia..... and they can get to
      us more easily than folks in the US of A. Tony Blair has much to
      answer for!
