What colour is pluto?

Poor little pluto

So it's a yucky brown and white colour - how are we supposed to paint that! I'll have to leave that one to one of the kids

Rightly or wrongly, Pluto no longer fits the official definition of "planet", and is no longer classed as one. Instead, it's now the second-largest known "dwarf planet" in the solar system (of an estimated 2,000).

Officially, our solar system only has 8 planets again. Poor old Pluto has been kicked out of the club.

(Interestingly, had Pluto not been demoted, it's likely that those larger "dwarf planets" would have been classified as actual planets instead, meaning we would now officially have at least 10 (and possibly as many as 15) planets in the solar system!)

Oh yes I do remember hearing this a while back. I will put it to the kids and see if they want to include Pluto in our solar system or not
