We have had a drought for the last few years, finally this year we've had a bit of rain.

My husband went out today and bought a tent and a swag. Him and his brother are planning to go off next weekend on their Motorbikes and rough it for the night - better him than me

We're being washed away up here in QLD. Floods out west, and the wettest spring in history. Not too hot, fortunately, but it's sure humid!

Oh I love Qld weather - we stayed in Cairns for a couple of months back in 2007 - loved it!

I went shopping with my oldest son earlier and when we left the shops and got into the car, the thermometer in the car said it was 39 degrees outside and 47 degrees inside. I could barely touch the steering wheel.

The air cond in our car doesn't work either

The temperature was down to nearly -11 degrees here last night. It's close to -7 tonight, and seems to be still falling.

I can barely touch the steering wheel for a different reason (if it was possible to get to the car without getting lost in the snow, that is ).

? and your an Aussie complaining about heat, ? we are a land of flies dust and heat, cold beers, beaches and bbq's.

in oz / mid north / where we are

      < 10 c / 50 f = move north for the winter / to cold
      20 c / 68 f = getting cold
      27 c / 81 f = cool day
      38 c / 100 f = nice day
      44 c / 111 f = warm day

Yeah I'm an Aussie complaining about the heat. At least when we were staying in Cairns there was a pool that we could jump into to cool down whenever we needed to. I don't mind the heat, but I prefer it when I have a pool or some air cond.

Oh cool, I'm in Adelaide too

Travelled up the centre back in 2007 - Coober Pedy - Alice Springs - Katherine - Darwin - before heading over to Cairns.

Loved it all, but don't know if I could live somewhere like Coober Pedy. Darwin I could - loved it!

Its Raining CATS AND DOGS on my end! I usually love the rain, but 6 weeks of non stop rain ( starting with Tropical storm Tomas) is now turning in to a national disaster. Many major streets have been closed off because of flooding, so I am kinda under "rain imposed house arrest". I guess this is good, since I can get some extra IM-work done.

But a little sunshine would be nice after 6 weeks of rain though. After all, this is the CARIBBEAN!

We should trade half and half, then we might both have the perfect weather

We live on a corner, so I get front and side. I usually do the neighbors too because they're in their 80's but they had relatives over today who thankfully did it for them.

    Eh!

Over here we had really cold days for a week or more - snowing in Central and Northern Portugal -BUT yesterday the wind changed direction to south and we have one weird night: really hot weather and 100km gusting winds.

No problem with the global weather, right?

    Eh!
