What on earth is up with craiglist? My husband and I have posted several items, ie: boat/trailer,buick motor,boat motor for parts and a few more.

All are physical items that we state clearly are pick up only.

I have had an email asking if we are scammers. Yes, please send me the $400 and I don't really have a motor for sale you idiot. No I didn't really send that response but duh.

I have had a few more with stuff such as made it to the point of ezpahf;
a few more that said something similar and one that asked if we were really online?

Do these people just sit online and look for ads to post stupid crap back to?

Just wondering if this is normal......

Thanks,
Kim

    Oh good old craigslists, its fun to see the under belly of society at times.

    I have sold an electric guitar, bass guitar, drum set and skateboard on craigslist. Each time I felt like both parties were getting a good deal.

    One guy claimed that I told him I would sell him the drum kit, but then never called him back. He said his 12 year old son cried on his birthday because he couldn't get him another drum kit. Ha ha their stories just keep getting better and better.

    Sadly CL has become the breeding grounds of scammers.

    A few years back it seemed most were legit,now the numbers are far fewer.

    I've bought a bit on Craig's List and sold a bit too. One time I made the mistake of putting my phone number in the ad and it rang non-stop for about 2 weeks, all of it automated caller bots of some sort.
