"They are still close to the other side... its good if they wake up every couple of hours, you dont want them to sleep too deeply..." She says (and I have witnessed) that many do things like make the baby formula stronger to really fill the baby and put him in a deep sleep for hours... but thats not good. Shes smart. I can relate. Im buyin it. Shes the best mom I've ever seen. Wish she had been my first daughters mom... but then my daughter wouldnt be who she is... sigh... at least wish she would have "raised" her. my daughter is a rebel... bound and determined to be like me and not learn till she's thirty years old! I could not have attracted this woman back then though, because you can only attract what you are in vibrational harmony with, at 42, thats Bon Bon (Shes only 36 though)! Unfortunately the dad my daughter remembers from childhood was a vain guy with a music publishing and management deal (And hair. lol), with delusions that he was gonna be a country star..., I even did sales management for a Modeling agency one year and took her on out of town trips with van loads of models where we all stayed in hotels for events... She idolized them. Believe it or not Im so glad those days are gone, and Im bald and 42 and I have higher ideals and aspirations, and I dont give a damn. Seriously. I'll Wear the freekin diaper... you know what um sayin? Wanna see a Pic? No? That was a safe bet. lol Anyway... All I taught her was vanity... and I guess alot of maybe "overly" unconditional love, but she picked up alot of the foolish part...I guess bein a girl (?) She also picked up alot of spirituality as well , which she quotes beautifully, as I beam with pride, right before she asks me for 100 bucks... still, despite the spirituality she leans toward foolishness. I suppose I used my spirituality foolishly when I was younger too. I actually used it to pick up girls alot... but thats a long gone nother story... I learned in my twenties that there were market segments among women ie; A: Some women would like a guy simply because he had tattoos. B: Some just because they played an instrument, or a sport... c: Some just because he had long hair ... There are alot of niche markets... some women like men with rings in their noses... Some like the spiritual type, the redneck type. So if you are a long haired spiritual musician/half assed tree hugger..., who plays redneck music, with an ear ring and a tattoo... you fit into a broad range of markets... lol Whole theory.... some other time.... . Back to parenting.... Parenting sometimes is harder when you are older if you dont do right when they are young. Ps. Today I am both an excellent parent and Grandparent, and I have ZERO "Game"! Unfortunately the parenting seeds I planted with my eldest daughter ... whew... man they really came back and grew on me... not easy alot of times.

Oh Kim.....((Hugggzzzz)) that just is infuriating to even read about.......... you are quite right in being PO'd at them, and NO they should not have called if they did not intend to follow through....I'm nearly speechless it is so unbelievable they can jerk a patient around that way at all, dayumm.... Thank you for letting us know........never worry about getting the post 'right'...it is what it is and some things you are allowed to be rather depressed about. I'll be a little depressed for you (I probably won't even notice an extra dose of it so send it on) .......had a therapist one time that said "Some times it is OKAY to crawl in bed and pull the covers over your head a little while". BUT....not even close to square one still....this is a good indicator that you are on the *front* of that list. I know it leaves you feeling like Charlie Brown when Lucy does the football thing......but I can't help but think it is a good thing you got that close. Next call will be a better kidney for you, and the one God meant for you to have. Everyday...I see our local headlines filled with so many stories of death, accidents etc...and it goes through my head that hopefully each one may mean life to another that is in organ failure like you. (I try to find a silver lining...which is tough with some of the stories).... Hang in there and never doubt for a moment, we are all hanging in there with you!!!!!! (((more hugs for you and MrsW))) Andie |

| Andie, I hate to argue with you but this is not true. It was happening without JD,with your help,Sal's help,Jody's Steves, etc etc. A very very long list of Warrior friends were helping me morally and financially. I am so thankful for you all. Seriously, Im with Kim here.... you are the ones that showed me this... and yall have been doing it all along... Which Brings up a thought. I was wondering if I could start a second warrior account under the Name "We Are The Warriors" So we wouldnt be doing the WSO under my Name per sey... Maybe, and this is just a brain storm there could be a few people who run the account like hey Sal... Kim... Like A WF Account under "We are the Warriors", but it represents a group instead of an individual... Does anyone know if thats possible, or would it be more effective to use my acct? |

You all right Kim? By the way I get this thread by email ...everything I know this is probably a feeble attempt to cheer you up a little... but you could be Bob Bob was in trouble. He forgot his wedding anniversary. His wife was really pissed. She told him "Tomorrow morning, I expect to find a gift in the driveway that goes from 0 to 200 in 6 seconds AND IT BETTER BE THERE !!" The next morning he got up early and left for work. When his wife woke up, she looked out the window and sure enough there was a box gift-wrapped in the middle of the driveway. Confused, the wife put on her robe and ran out to the driveway, brought the box back in the house. She opened it and found a brand new bathroom scale. Bob has been missing since Friday. |

Andie, I was sitting here reading this going, wtf, how does she know?? Then I read Jim's post (roaddog) and figured it must send out reports of every post? I am guessing but that has to be it because I regretted posting it within seconds and deleted it. As far as eveerything else,I've been going from ok to depressed to ok again all day long. It's a normal reaction I think. John, I am pretty sure its against forum rules to have more than one account,no matter how noble the reason. Of course, I am far from the last word on this and the helpdesk or maybe Paul could answer. But the plus side is, like it or not you have brought star power to us. You may not see it but the rest of us do. In the short time you came on board, this has been going like a freight train without a brake...kinda like a locomotive breathe. As far as looking on the bright side, your right, no matter what I think this means my name is very high on the list now. And now, I'll believe when I know it has happened for sure, since I've had numerous people say it in the past, but I have one more person that has said they will test and she lives here in the city or Richmond. All in all its been a rough 24 hours emotionally, but its survivable, just like everything else., Of course this time yesterday I was thinking I was setting up the dialysis machine for my very last time, and now here I am a day later having to get ready to do it again. Oh well. Sometimes I feel my name is Earl. |

Ha Andie, I don't think Ive ever told you how much I detest cats! :p As Thom likes to say, dogs have owners, cats have staff! We have a persian that we inherited from my stepdaughter something like 20 years ago. I wake up in the middle of the night and she is sitting on the bed just stairing at me. I swear she is thinking "Why doesn't he just go ahead and die dammit, I want that spot". It must be karma though, because today she asked me to get her cat some food ,and for some reason I actually bought the high priced stuff,Iams. I'm getting soft in my old age. |

Kim I saw your sad message as well. If you are subscribed to a thread and request instant email notification, you will see most posts that way. I am so sorry the scumbags treated you like that. If I could get the name of that person that gave you a choice, then allowed that choice to disappear, I have a few choice words for his/her supervisor! I have been feeling sad all day for you. Hey Roaddog, tomorrow is my wedding anniversary - 15 years - and I remembered and I wrote out a sweet card to my husband. That is what we do now, give each other cards. Easy on the budget that way. And we will be taking the kids with us to our anniversary dinner. Last year we hired a sitter and all we did was talk about the kids and how much we wished we had brought them along... Hang in there, Kim. We are all cheering for you. |

Diane, thanks for the thoughts, and thanks to you and Roaddog I've learned I can't post then change my mind, lol.Thats gonna put a new twist on what I post because I am so used to editing on the fly,or posting and deciding some things are best left unsaid. IN thinking about it, I know it wasn't the lady that called me that made the decision, she was only the messenger. I was angry at her at first, but then realized that she was actually stuck with a job thats crappy a lot. Sure calling someone and saying we have the organ to save your life would give good gratification, but it must make someone fell pretty bad to have to call someone up and tell them the Drs had decided to give it to someone else. Anyway, today (and every day after this one) is a new day and we are going forward with the same attitude, THIS year is going to be my year. Also, congrats on the 15 year mark! May you easily have another 15!. |

Kim, Question. Possibly one you have answered to yourself many times....... when you get your kidney and those first days of the transplant recovery are passed... What is the one thing you are going to do.. that you have not been able to do?? Have you got a 'non bucket' list going? the cat is curious |

Andie, I have told my wife we will go anywhere she wants to go ( within reason and affordability). There have been so many things that we have wanted to do individually and together that were not possible because of my illness that I want to do something special for her. I think maybe a bread and breakfast thats within a few hours drive, or maybe just anything thats as much the opposite of what our past few years have been like. But even anything like that is months away from when I do get a kidney. This is from memory,so not accurate at all,but I think you will get the idea. Lets say I get a kidney tomorrow. The recovery time is estimated at 4-6 weeks, with most of that being in hospital. Once released, I will have to go to the hospital 3 times a week for a couple of months, and then taper off after that. Then a couple times a week then 1 time a week and then once every couple of week, etc etc. I'm sure you see where this is going. Take that along with the predinisone problem which weve discussed before, we don't know for sure that things will be fixed. But I'm optimistic. Anyway, I'm just pointing out that I will still be tethered to the hospital for quite a while after the operation,so any travel or special things will still be literally months away. |

Kim - just keep in mind that each time things go wrong, they still bring you closer to the time they will go right. Your turn is coming. And with the coming WSO, you will be prepared when it gets here. I see a donor in the future that says "Now way, babe - it either goes to him or you don't get it at all."

I don't want to count my chickens before they are hatched, especially because I've had donor offers before that didn't come through, But apparently yesterday some lady where my wife works has offered to be tested. Not only that, and I think Jody has posted on this program before, if she isn't a match for me,she says she will donate a kidney to somebody. And if that if fact happens,I go to to top of the list and am next no matter what. These next couple of weeks are going to be interesting and stressful to say the least. Keepin the fingers crossed!

Thanks, Andie! Anni-tax day, that is funny... We had dinner at Panera and then went to see Rio - fun movie to watch with the kids. It was a fun evening. On the way home from the movie the kids started planning out our 25 year and 50 year anniversary parties.... gotta love their optimism. And those are going to be SOME parties, let me tell you! |

Can anyone give me an idea what the criteria is for being tested and is it actually possible to test for someone living in another area? Does it cost a lot for the testing?

No need to be worried. In a nutshell I had given this weekend to my wife for us to do whatever she wanted to do. She wanted to visit friends that live about 3 hours away so we did. I am back home now, about to start my treatment then will post back here. I love my online family! PS: Haven't even taken time to check emails or FB! |
