Yea no kidding, it is amazing how fast but I will tell you this, it scared me so much that I quit smoking and I was smoking 3 packs daily. The pain I was in Friday sat sun was unreal they had me on a nitro drip, with dilating pain meds it was a wild ride!

Christ on a pogo stick, Tom -- take a BREAK. This place will be here when you get back. I think people will be more willing to have you gone for a week while you recoup than they will be to hear you pushed yourself too hard and won't be here anymore.

That's scary!

Welcome back buddy. Very sorry to hear that.

Avoid fast foods if you can and eat healthy.

If you are interested here is a wonderful book, "7 days zone diet" by Barry Sears. It teaches you how to eat healthy, how to lose weight, staying in shape and avoid heart attacks and other diseases.

Heart attacks are really dangerous so i'm glad you are okay now.

Wow thank you all so much, I know I don't know a lot of you all but this is great! I love working on line and I am so freaking happy to be out of adult and doing IM Full time. It has been 6 days since my heart attack still smoke free feel freaking great, have to go to cardiac rehab starting the 19th of this month.

I will know what I will be allowed to do and not allowed! Then on the 20th I have to go to a cardiac rehab for diets. LOL On my way to becoming thin again! LOVING IT! A new beginning.

Many, many people who have a heart attack can recover back to normal good health.

Eat better and when appropriate start a well thought out exercise program.

Someone brought this thread back from the past,but its interesting. Two weeks after Tom had his heart attack. I had mine.
And we both are in Va. Is it something in the water?
