Has Anyone Tried Google's Speech Recognition Feature?

I've known for a few months that Google has a speech recognition feature that works with Chrome. However, I just tried it a couple of hours ago. Well, this is what happened:

I said "John Lennon" and got results for "New York." I blew into my microphone and got results for "sup." I kissed the microphone and got results for "THT." I smacked the microphone against the table and got results for "text me." I said "Jude Law" and got results for "YouTube." :p

Is it just me, or is this whole speech recognition thing just a fiasco?

The program just has to get yews to your voice.

As a mattress of fat, I'm using it to write dispose.

It works great. Even in Czech language.

Of course there is some phrases that it doesn't recognize. But If you are clear than it works fine.

What I like about this is that it even works outside. Or while siting in the Pub or so...

At least you don't have an Irish accent; you should see what that does to speech "recognition" (ha!) technology.

Mind you, it could be worse...

I think Google's voice search is pretty cool, but I'm not hip to Google collecting, storing, and analyzing samples of my voice. I'll stick to typing my search queries.
