WF Slow Loading?

I'm not sure if this is the right section, but I have noticed over the last few days that WF has been loading slower and slower. I have a fast Internet connection, but it typically takes about 30 seconds or longer for the website to load. This is the only website affected on my end, because everywhere else I go loads just fine.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Yes, there have been quite a few threads reporting various access issues. The mods say they are working on it..

same here.. google chrome shows me when something is loading or connecting to the server. (if anyone else uses chrome you might know this..)

When the loading animation spins slowly anti-clockwize, that means its waiting for WF, opposite its actually loading data for me it takes about 15 - 20 seconds.. which suuuuucks!!

  It's been deadly - at the very worst times too.
  
  Ontop of this I've had my server go on the blink for the second day in a row.

Terribly slow here and there. Some hours it's not bad but some it's terrible. I have a feeling the DB server needs to be updated. I'm hoping they have two diff servers (front end/back end).

Anyways hopefully w/e the mods are doing will make it faster.

  Although I have not had any problems with this site loading slow it was completely down for a couple of hours yesterday afternoon. My mentor told me that this has been happening more and more lately. Perhaps it has something to do with how the total data contained within the site keeps getting bigger. Anyway they got it up again, let's hope it stays up.

Yes, I've noticed the same thing for past week or so. I'm seeing load times at busy times to the point where I go off and do something else while waiting for the forum to load .

I've noticed this myself. I've also seen it offline/down as well, my guess it is it just has to do with a huge spike in traffic on the servers at times.

As stated in another thread, I had no access for a week using Chrome - FireFox was fine.

Today I am here using Chrome so I was assuming the problem had been resolved.

It is a bit slow from time to time but mostly ok now.

At one point there were over 11,000 people logged in at the same time in the past few days - so this is a massive database and I can see where it would have to be updated from time to time - and the fact it runs 24/7, there has to be some time when maintenance is done -- so maybe being slow sometimes could just be attributed to that - maybe on a backup server or something.

At any rate I am happy that so far there has been no complete downtime that I know of - (knock on wood) no dreadful 'Come back later, Warrior Forum is down for maintenance' - I just can't stand that! It's like being locked out of the house!
