Mouse In Mountain Dew Would Turn Into 'Jelly Like' Goo, Pepsi Says (VIDEO)
Man Sues PepsiCo Over Mouse in Mountain Dew Video

That's wrong on so many levels, I don't know where to start.
I've toured the local Pepsi bottling plants and it was one of the cleanest places I've ever been, right up there with the Budweiser brewery and bottle plant I toured.
I'm not saying it's not possible, but highly unlikely.
I would think a mouse would dissolve in Mountain Dew, have you ever read the ingredients? Also think about how you can use Coke to dissolve rust on metal.
The idea that the reporter was surprised it could turn a mouse into jelly baffled me also.

Coke has phosphoric acid, Mountan dew DOESN'T! They are as different as night and day in that respect.

  • I guess my point was that Pepsico argues that there could not possibly have been a mouse in a can of our "soft drink" -
because if there were such a foreign object in the can, the ingredients we so lovingly put there would dissolve it into a mass of unrecognizable goo, and you likely would have just drank the mouse without realizing it...

Coke, Pepsi, and the like, are well known "magic solvents" for taking blood stains off the highway, dissolving forks, cleaning battery posts, etc.

I guess I just never expected them to use that in a defense of it's quality of drinkability...

Yes! Finally the inspiration I needed to stop drinking a 12 pack of Diet Mountain Dew a day. Thanks for sharing MoneyMagnetMagnate! Really, though? Was Pepsi's argument that the mouse would have dissovled? I am going to go throw up now...

I'm closing in on 2 years without soda.
I still do milk and sugar in my coffee and a little sugar in my green tea though
As you may already know I drink spring water with ACV in it for my cold drink.
I drank mostly ginger ale when I did drink soda. I tried one about 6 months ago and couldn't drink it, it tasted so bad.

I don't drink the stuff either - any of it other than maybe once or twice a year. Either a creme soda, root beer, or Vernors. The stuff is scary. I figure I can live through one every six months or so, but try to get brands that don't have fake sugar in them. Real sugar is bad enough, the fake stuff will kill you, literally.
