Gee, I feel like I just graduated from a night course at the community college!

Heres a link, just cause I can (and 'cause a lot of you could benefit from looking at it!)

Congrats are in order. By the way, I took a peek at the link you shared in your very first post after being able to do that. If I weren't already building my own sites, I'd certainly buy his course. How did he get started making $250 a day...was it through affiliate marketing?

Well Star, unless your real name is Chris Farrell, that is called spamming the forum and that isn't allowed. Links have to lead to websites that belong to you that you have created.

Thank you, Denise. I'm not sure how Chris got started, but if you asked him he'd probably be happy to tell you. Chris is a nice guy.

Now for the rest of you...

Nice. Jump down my throat when I'm just trying to be helpful. Thanks.

Rick, are you sure you don't have that backwards? Since when is it a sin to add links to your post that go to OTHER peoples websites? (I am not Chris Farrell.)

Learn the definition of spam already. If I posted a link to one of my own websites and said, Hey, take a look at my website! that would be spamming the forum, not posting links to other people's websites.

If we're only allowed to add our own website links to our posts then anyone including a link to youtube, Ezine Articles, Hulu, even eBay in their posts would be spamming the forum, according to your above post.

Sal, you fed off of Rick's post and ended up becoming a sheep. C'mon, you're better than that.

Let me make this very clear to all of you:

I am not Chris Farrell and that link to his newsletter does not go to any of my websites! It is not spam and I am NOT a spammer.

    That being said...

If I had known this was going to be such a big deal to you guys I never would've mentioned Chris's newsletter in the first place. Chris is a Warrior member with a great reputation here. I support Warrior members by purchasing their products before I buy from non-members and I subscribe to Chris's newsletter and have purchased his video tutorials because they are top notch products. (Is it spam to suggest someone else's products?!)

I know for a fact that many of the members in this forum would benefit from knowing about them, that's why I posted that particular link.

Now, if you still think I am spamming this forum, please report this thread as spam and have it removed!

Other than that, stop jumping to completely unfounded conclusions and stop calling me a spammer. I will NOT put up with that!

This member-moderator situation leaves something to be desired, especially when members don't even know what constitutes spam!

Star just posting a link for no other reason then posting a link is more or less spamming, I know that wasn't your intention and the way you did it falls into a gray area.
If you where really sure what you where doing was being helpful you would of posted it in the main forum not the OT.
The reason for the 15 post rule is to prevent people from signing up to the forum just to post links.

That line makes it sound like this is a big deal for you which will make people think you're here just to post links.

Thanks, Thom, I understand what you mean.

This stems from another thread I started about not being able to post links until I had at least 15 post count, which on the surface seemed like a needless rule until Sal filled me in with a really good reason for having it.

Yes, I did write "Here's a link, just 'cause I can", now that I had met the requirement, but I also added, "(and 'cause a lot of you could benefit from looking at it!)"

Perhaps I should've omitted what I underlined above. I can understand how that would seem spammy to some, but it's not, considering the link doesn't even go to one of my sites.

You wrote, "If you where really sure what you were doing was being helpful you would of posted it in the main forum not the OT."

Well, just to be clear here, I know for a fact what I was doing was being helpful, and that alone would not necessarily mean I would post it in the main forum.

But thank you, Thom, for your reply just the same.

Are you telling me that members can't post a link to a youtube video that would help other members learn how to .... [whatever]? The link is not mine. Just curious. Thanks-
