Opt Out of Credit Card Solicitations
Several years ago, sick and tired of the constant flow of unsolicited credit card and insurance solicitations, my husband and I filed an on-line Opt-Out. Recently, the solicitations began again and when i went on-line I discovered that our original filing only lasted for 5 years and had obviously run out.
However, they now offer a permanent opt-out, but for this, you have to print off the forms, sign them and physically mail them in.
We've done this because where we live, the mail delivery service is abysmal; we are constantly finding other people's mail in our box and our mail man is not exactly the brightest tack in the box.
Years ago we went through a huge hassle when a page of those checks you can write against a credit card was mis-delivered and someone went on a spending spree.
