getting funding for a book

Hello,
without going to publisher.. does anyone know how to get funding to write a book .. even though i write a lot on forums.. my use of the language has never been good enough to fancy myself as an author or a perspective author ... But I have a unlikely love story plot line developing ..and she has much better writing skills .. we are just both broke jobless and nearly homeless.. and on two different sides of the planet almost ..and met through a single one line post on craigs list..

    What do you need funding for? I think if you're broke and nearly homeless you'd have priorities other than a REALLY speculative venture like trying to write a book. Maybe you could try getting a job and then some training at writing.
