I am still waiting for mine to arrive in Australia

I was just wondering if anybody had received theirs in the mail yet?

Cheers!

Just got mine today. Haven't opened it yet, I have 3 exams in the next 8 days so need to put a hold on the business building until then. Shouldn't even be here

I bought mine on the 24th. Today, I received an email stating that it has been shipped. I don't know why it took two weeks to ship it. Maybe it is a one man operation!

I just got mine Saturday. Looks good, but I haven't had a chance to dig into it. Hope to start studying it tomorrow before my training bonuses start on it.

If you didn't get one of the first 5,000 copies I'm sure there was probably a delay at the fulfillment company because they had to produce 10,000 more copies at the last minute (I'm assuming, based on all the information I have, that the original limit of 5,000 copies and the server crash were real and not some kind of marketing "stunt" lol).

hey steve, maybe i am too cynical but i never believed that they really only created 5,000 of those in the first place!
never the less, i ordered mine fairly late and haven't gotten anything yet, however the last time I ordered something from filsaime it took quite a while to get it; in fact the 30 day mark was near....

Ok, I'll give you that one, the extra 10,000 copies might have been planned. I have no way to know that either way. But at this point I'm pretty sure the server crash was a real hosting issue and not a planned "stunt". I base that not only on the fact that he was live on ustream the whole time with plenty of eyewitnesses in the room, but also on the fact that he continued to have technical problems for several days after everything came back online (my own order had tech problems and that was 4 days later, don't think that was planned). Not to mention the fact that if he planned those kinds of technical difficulties he would have probably been smart enough to outsource a couple hundred people as temporary helpdesk staff to handle the flood of tickets he got.. lol

    Hi Publishing Guru,

Mike sent out an email yesterday (you may have received it now), but basically saying if your ordered from the second or third batch then you should add another 3 to 5 days on your order, on top of the standad 10 to 13 days, plus the additional 7 days for being outside the US.
So you probablt won't get it for at least another week, maybe even 2 or 3 more weeks.

    Cheers,
    Paul

I received the package the other day although I did download the pdf as soon as I signed up. The software CD contains links to the web for downloading and documentation so you need to continue your subscription or download everything very quickly if you don't want to subscribe. The software was easy to install but the setup is very advanced. There are many, many videos both but they seem to be tied to an earlier version of Butterfly.

The biggest challenge I am having is that there does not seem to be any description as to what the software does or what the butterfly effect is. I get the idea it is aimed at developing membership sites but I haven't found anything yet that helps with defining the product that you would offer.

The book seems to be mostly prelaunch, launch and post launch strategies.

Right now I'm trying to figure out if it is what I need but without some definition of what it is that's hard to do.

I hope someone has had better luck and can help me the the above challenges. Thanks.

    Thanks Paul,

Ross, I might stay on the continuity program if the newsletter shave great content. The minute they fall below par or I am not learning anything, I will cancel.

Ira, did you read the Butterfly Marketing manuscript? Yes, BFM2.0 and the scrip deal mainly with giving you the tools to launch your product properly.

The butterfly effect in itself is described in the manuscript. It is the process of setting in place small processes that over time can lead to big returns.

As an example, by empowering your affiliates by providing them with all the automated tools they require, you are giving yourself the best chance to attract a super-affiliate that may do a promotion for your product that will provide you with a massive flood of sales.

Reading between the lines, it sounds like you need help with "product development". Send me a PM if you are interested and I will see if I can point you in the right direction for some products that may help you with that part of the process.

    Cheers,

    Leigh.

    Hi James,

Mine has arrived this week. I hope yours has too!

PS - the package is impressive. I had already read the manuscript online. I'll be setting up 2 sites with the software this weekend.

    Cheers,

    Leigh.
