I guess it will come a lot of self promotions on this thread.

My favorite site, which isn't my own (obviously), is you you you you yes you guessed correctly - YouTube.com! :p Once in a while I use to go on some serious random video sprees there.

  I was really into mashable for about 10 days but then lost interest.
  
  My favorite is wopg.org for the videos. It has about 200 videos (and growing) and I've watched them all, a lot of them more than once. I don't like the CDN that they use, would prefer downloadable videos.
  
  The top one on the linked page is one of my favorites, a talk given to the European parliament.
  
  They won't be to everyone's taste.
  
  I haven't had a tv for years. Most of the time when someone would start talking I would want to change the channel, or just wasn't interested.

  Sorry if it's boring, but mine is probably Science Daily: News & Articles in Science, Health, Environment & Technology (a bit of everything, and a surprisingly high proportion of it's stuff that's relevant to me).
  
  This has also been fascinating, for years (but is now complete, since 15th Nov 2012): Orwell Diaries 1938-1942 | George Orwell's domestic and political diary entries, posted 70 years to the day after they were written

  My wife and I both use it constantly. It's basically the entire internet condensed into one user generated site. I find things on reddit that I don't see anywhere else for weeks sometimes.

I'm also a Reddit fan - but I don't go there as much anymore because I waste too much time there.

I've also always been a big fan of archive.org - especially the Prelinger Archives.
