Jewish is often used, incorrectly, to refer to the people. And YEAH, they figure you are jewish if the MOTHER is, since the father was never certain.

I don't know, but one of his grandfathers was called Cohen and the other was a Rabbi, so I know which way I'd bet on it.

Well, "rock" is a pretty widely defined genre.
Jimi Hendrix was a HUGE Dylan fan.
Paul Simon's kinda in the same boat. Great musician/songwriter and, like Dylan was accepted on the rock stage.
But, there again, they both began their careers as Folk musicians. Then Dylan had to go and spoil everything by picking up an electric guitbox.
Where was I going with this again?:confused:
Oh yeah.... David Lee Roth sucks!
Van Hagar was the much better band but the Van Halens were asses.

Yep, he was a major influence on the Beatles and Jimi Hendrix (to name a few) and considered one of the best song writers ever.
The statement, "Dylan sucks", comes across as juvenile and uninformed.

Dylan did influence Hendrix as a song writer. But as a guitar player, Buddy Guy probably was the biggest influence on Hendrix.

Without Dylan, the Beatles would have continued writing Love me do like pop songs. There probably wouldn't have been an OASIS, hence no Noel Gallagher.

sure everyone has influences, so who is the supposed genius behind dylan, or is it the definitive 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration, or is that mark knopfler who wears a sweat band,
