I guess most of the successful internet marketers started with internet marketing for some reason. I'm very interested to hear about your story how it changed your life ?

In my case, it (kind of) avoided changing my life, in one specific way.

I started at the beginning of my second year of university, hoping that by the time I graduated about two years later I'd be earning enough not to have to make the change of "going out to work". And I got very lucky, and managed exactly that.

I work more hours than I would in many jobs, admittedly, but I can make my own hours, not be accountable to anyone but myself, and I don't have to travel to/from work, which was what I wanted.

    Hmmm...

It changed my life too. I thought I wanted to be a hotshot marketer. But I found out I don't like the mechanical aspects of marketing much. I know what they are, for sure. But when it comes to putting them into practice I'd almost rather visit the root canal dentist.

What that did for me was put me in touch with what I really love, which is writing. And the success I have online is far more related to my words than my actual marketing methods though by necessity they do overlap. Gimme a blank Word doc any day and I'll fill it lickity split.

The world is changing at a faster and faster rate.

This morning I turned on the radio and discovered another 1000 government employees are losing their job!

Where do those people go? What do they eat?

Many older people....over 30, now have redundant skills. Who wants a typist these days? Even bricklayers are being made redundant by new building systems!

A lot of us have turned to the internet. So many that there is now a surplus of "mush" sites out there. Its time to work out who you are and what you can offer. The other day a friend in his 70's started helping out a solo mother with 4 kids. Her husband beat her up all the time and has now been deported. My friend is helping her with clothing and food and toys for the kids. She still abuses them and belts them. She doesnt know any other way. He has said if you treat children with love and respect and foster a caring environment your family will improve.

My point is, many of us have basic skills like communication and financial management. Maybe we can connect on line and pass on those skills.

I am trying to help other people through the net. And finding a new way to survive.
