A friend of mine from hillipines got a cancer (Cervical Cancer)

    You DO realize that there is generally less than a one in 8 chance of the blod being compatible, RIGHT? You should say WHAT the blood type is. I'm a universal recipient basically, and because of warfarin, am not allowed to give blood but STILL, more info helps with those able to help.

    I caught hepatitis B at my high school graduation party (we were passing celebration bottles).

    One year later I was in Germany and a little boy was hit by a car and they were calling for blood of my type which is extremely rare - B negative. They wouldn't take it. They were willing to let the kid die before transfusing with my blood. Never understood this. Surely it was better to risk giving him hepatitis than to let him die?

    Well, in MY case, I guess they are afraid of it complicating surgery, etc... In HEYSALS case, hepatitis CAN be bad. As I recall, C is the worst, but B may still be bad enough to cause problems. They have LOTS of similar limitations in the US.

    MY blood is only good for a person that is AB+. It is ALSO apparently a rare type. HEYSALS is only good for B or AB people that are either + or -.

    I am not allowed to give blood either due to having spent time in Europe (stationed in Italy 1981-1982)....this is due to the possibility of spreading 'mad cow' disease (look it up and see how nasty it is).

    Thanks EveryOne Here , I found a better solution
    I send here money even it was not very easy to do this coz my country doesn't allow us to send money outside, I contacted a man from phillipine doing buseniss in my country and he sent money to here.
    in the next couple days she needs a surgery , I hope she will be ok
