bargain Wacom drawing tablet. Worthwhile?

I would love to get a wacom tablet to draw a simple webcomic. Pricing for wacoms is all over the place, but i'm thinking a basic one will do what I want. Have any of you tried this one, the bamboo splash? it seems to have decent reviews at amazon.

    I've been wanting a wacom bamboo tablet, but have had too many other things on the list. I did know someone else who had the wacom bamboo and loved it. It is or was one of the lower priced ones.

    From what I understand, any time you get something that comes with the electronic drawing pen, get a couple more of those when you order.

    I always look at reviews, too. It will take some time, but you might want to do a thorough review of the different offerings before you buy to make sure it will serve whatever tasks well that you have planned to use it.
