You Have No Idea How Lucky You Are To Be Here

If this is the only forum you attend and think things could be better, let me tell
you how much worse they could be.

I'm currently trying to get a lot of technical help with music equipment which is
beyond the scope of this forum. So I go to the appropriate forums for each
piece of equipment asking the questions I need to ask to hopefully solve my
problems.

To make a long story short, most of the problems I've eventually solved, I've
done on my own. Either nobody knows the answers or I'm told to "read the
manual" or the answers I get are close to worthless.

Not only that, the traffic at most of these forums is minuscule to say the least.
Sometimes a thread could be the top thread (most recent one responded to)
and stay there for days because nothing's been responded to since.

A thread that runs 2 pages is a miracle. Most are 3 or 4 responses and that's
it.

You can't imagine how frustrating that is.

You ask a question and can get 10 pages of answers. For the most part, the
membership here is very helpful. You can't imagine how much I wish this was
a music forum. My life would be a whole lot easier.

In the meantime, I'm slogging my way through all this technical stuff and
pulling my hair out trying to get the hang of it. Frustrating doesn't even
begin to describe it.

So count your lucky stars for this place because it is still the greatest forum
on the Internet.
