Central and South America travel/networking
Following on from the Thailand thread, I'm curious if anyone has similar experiences with any countries in Central America or South America.
Panama is supposed to be very good for business infrastructure stuff, banking etc, first class medical care.
Ecuador and Colombia have areas with extremely mild climates year-round and all these places are very cheap compared to the mainland USA or Europe.
I had first been looking into some of these countries just as a place to live where the weather is nice. Then the Thailand thread really got me jazzed about the idea of at least spending some time in Chiang Mai but I don't know (kinda doubt really) that I'd want to 'settle' there.
