Hi i started working in the solar industry and my job is to self generate leads. i can knock on doors or cold call. id prefer to call. what would be a nice short script to generate solar leads? they dont want appointments just leads. once i get leads there going to call the customer back and set an appointment. and suggestions on how i should go about this?

    Seems a little crazy not to book the appointment right then when you have an interested prospect on the line...but if that's out of your scope, I guess you have to live with it.

    So...

    > can the prospect talk right now?

    > you're looking to connect people who are interested in learning more about home solar power options with a key supplier of such products

    > have they heard of and/or researched these kinds of products?

    > if so, what did they discover?

    > if not, are they interested in learning more?

    > would they like you to pass their information along to the company, so a solutions expert can call back and set an appointment to talk?

    You want to qualify a little, see if there's interest, confirm their contact info (name, since you obviously have their phone #) & best time to talk if so, and move on.

    Use an hourglass egg timer, cheap off Amazon and doesn't go "ding". 3 or 4 minutes tops. You should know within 2 for this. If you don't have the OK to send their info along by the time the sand runs out, you move on to the next call.

    -Im calling because im looking for homeowners in the area who are paying high bills and are interested in learning more about what solar can do for them.

    -have you done any research on solar?

    -what were your thoughts on what you read?

    -If i told you, you might qualify to get solat installed for free would you be interested in hearing more?

    -Great what im going to do is pass your information alog to our solutions expert so he can give you a callback and set up a time to talk sound fair enough?
