I dont know if this thread should be in this subforum, I think so, because CRM are not necessarily an online marketing technique, in fact some may dispute it is not a marketing technique at all. I have to choose a CRM (Client Relationship Management) for a project im currently working on, im currently looking for a good choice, and I have to say the CRM industry has really been left behind, most of the options I have saw only have the basic features, like sending emails, and stuff like that, I didnt find any good CRM with Social Media features, which kind of dissapointed me.
Is anyone still using CRMs?

CRMs were a great breakthrough a few years ago, they helped companies to improve the way the handled their clients and their sales, and they allowed businessman to have a more detailed control on whats going on on their businesses, but now the gold age of CRMs seems to have vanished.
Social Media, or even big data analysis, would be awesome features for having on a system like that, imagine if you could extract big data analysis from your data bases, it would be amazing, im really surprised that no one has thought about this. I mean, I know big companies and multinationals have their own systems with all these features incorporated, but no one has designed a good sistem that could be used by small and medium compan|es.
And there is really a lot of potential here that we could be working on, just imagine it, if a company could have the precise information of what are the preferred products of each of his clients, the channels they used to communicate, their taste and moods, everything. The possibilities for driving sales and awareness are just infinite.
It would also be a great thing for marketing, using that information we would be able to create more detailed segmentations with personalized messages for each one of our customers, it is the dream comed true for the micro segmentations lovers.
I know CRMs are a marketing technique from the 90s, and that a lot has happened since then, but I trully think CRMs could be an amazing thing these times, we just need to improve them and bring them to the XXI century.
Anyway, I would love to know if any of you is using CRMs in their project or for their clients right now, and if you are, what are the systems you are using, and how.
If anyone has a good CRM with big data and social media features for recommend, I would really be grateful, as I said before, Ive been looking everywhere and I just cant find anything.
I will be looking forward to your opinions on this topic, as I said, I really think this a debate that we should be having.
