Where do small businesses advertise online other than Google, Bing, Facebook?

I want to put together a list of leads that is paying to advertise online. My list so far is:

1) Google
2) Bing
3) Yelp

Facebook is not on the list because I don't know how to find local businesses in my niche on that platform.

Any others to include?

    What is your niche?

In general, there could be various ways to find local businesses or generate leads from local area:

    - Linkedin Paid/Free Marketing
    - FaceBook Paid/Free Marketing
    - Google+ Marketing
    - Twitter Paid/Free Marketing
    - Pinterest Marketing
    - Email Marketing
    - Newsletter Campaign
    - Advertise on local forums
    - Network with local startups in some events
    - Telephone Cold Calling and so on.

    Hope, that helps.

That's going to be really hard to do.

Why do you want this list? I know of other methods if you are trying to find advisors with a lot of clients and assets under management.

A list that's paying to advertise has higher motivaiton than general listings (the "starving crowd"). I'm curious why you say it's hard?

            Financial advertisers typically don't advertise.

Some do seminars through mailers but I'm not sure of a list you can buy.

If you want big advisors then you need to look at the SEC website and ADV Part 2. That form will tell you how many assets under management they have.

Most every big talk radio station has an advisor that does a financial advice show. You may want to look there.

Here is something you could do ( I shouldn't even be giving this out).

I put together a JV as a "broker" and it was pretty easy actually. Here's the deal.

There are a couple guys that have a radio show about real estate investing. They have built a mini empire in my area (they own and manage something like 600 homes). They borrow money for like 10%.

I know someone who sells real estate investments that is less risky but also doesn't pay out as much.

            Boom. JV.

The guys who can't convert the more risky higher interest investment send the leads to the guy with the lower risk lower rate investment.

One deal like this in a mid size town will more than cover you living expenses (within reason).

Hint: Commercial real estate in the USA isn't a security. The liability and compliance issues in financial advice are huge.

I was going to suggest Groupon, but I don't recall ever seeing financial planners on Groupon.

Edit: I did a search on Groupon for financial advisor and the results contained many ads for astrology...

If they`re licensed by the state, they most likely keep a public database somewhere(here in Quebec its on the net) ,

you probably have something very similar.

A financial advisor in the US should be registered or licensed, all that contact info. is public domain data so anything else is unnecessary work.

The single most profitable local online marketing I do for my retail store is a series of Youtube videos...with the titles and descriptions targeted for common searches in our industry, and targeting local searches.

The response we get from the videos compared to every listing on directories and several websites...isn't even close.

If you're targeting a niche that small, then find all of the trade associations associated with that particular market.

After that, subscribe to their trade magazine and take notice to everyone who's paid money to advertise in there. Targeting those same trade associations with a FB PPC campaign will work, too.
