I am having success with my mobile design business to my local market. There is so much business in this niche...Thanks to the The Telemarketing Forum I have been able to get some strong momentum in this market by calling local business owners and sharing the value to them why they need and should have a mobile ready website...getting to meet with them has been at least for me easy...and once I walk in after they know the value for them having a mobile website and show them my one page mock-up of their mobile website they are sold. I just wanted to briefly share a niche that is very easy to start up and getting positive response from business owners. ScottH |

"Hi my name is Scott I am a local business owner that helps businesses get new clients, I noticed you do not have a mobile ready site, you could be missing out new business...I like to meet with you for 10 mins and show you a one page mock-up of your site on a mobile phone and how this can bring you new business. They will ask me a couple of questions..I usually get the appointment...there are business owners that blow me off..but thats part of cold calling. | |

I have to buy Quentin's WSO. I have been researching and researching and I just got to go with what works. Experienced in HTML? How experienced? I know the basics, a lot of copy and paste really. I got sidetracked by another idea, but really need to focus on one thing; mobile it is! |

Quentin's WSO is awesome. Talk about overdelivering! If you are even thinking about mobile marketing, pick it up. His WSO inspired my entire mobile marketing website. Quentin: Is there a way to use the php code used on the iphone tester page with the tester you provided us? I would like to have a potential client go to a page on my own website that show them their site on the tester. |

I must say that offering mobile marketing to local businesses is a very easy sale...b/c when they look at their .com site on a smart phone and then they see a one page mock up of a their site on a mobile phone there next question is how much! I got all my education for mobile design here at the WF..I took action and magically made money..lol Just Do It...whatever your desire is if you take consistent action you will see positive results every time! Scott, thanks for sharing your experiences with mobile. I like the look of Quentin's script. I have been using mobisitegalore as a quick and easy mobile site builder and HHpage for more high end sites. Quentin's script after a quick look seems to do a good job. |

This makes an easy in for providing a variety of related offers as well such as SMS services, QR codes, and grooming them for the incoming influx of NFC (near field technology). Besides the major mobile phone mfrs, credit card processors and banks are actively promoting NFC or "e-wallet" technology. Some of your interactions with clients should be educating them on this emerging technology, which will make you the first one to think of when it arrives! I FINALLY bought Quentin's WSO! I have no idea why I waited this long. He has been very helpful as I had a problem, not his WSO, my fault for not knowing FTP. Scott offered help too. Great WSO though. I plan to "hit the streets" Monday along with a friend of mine and start selling mobile sites. A HUGE market in Vegas! As Myob said, it's our foot in the door for SMS, QR Codes and NFC. |

Hey - just wondering if anyone has taken into consideration the fact that a site like Weebly will automatically turn your website into a mobile ready site as well. So if you get the pro version (very cheap) you can create your clients website and mobile site in one shot but with a lot of extra value and with no weebly advertising on it.

I am finding some very receptive business owners who use Gilt City, Groupon, Bloomspot, Living Social...my successful pitch for getting meetings and interested business owners. "Hi my name is Scott I am a local business owner, I saw your offer on Gilt City today, but noticed you don't have a mobile website. I'm interested in sharing with you how a mobile website could enhance promotions like these..." Opens the door for further conversation..I then proceed to tell the biz owner.."I will create a Home page of your current site for you that is mobile ready all I ask is for a 10 minute meeting to share the value of having a mobile ready site." |

When I go into these meetings I will create a home page for them which takes like 30 min at the most to do...so when I go to meet the client I first show their .com site on my iphone than I show the home page I designed for mobile..they are awe struck b/c of the huge difference...the thing is not many people are doing this its new and fresh to the local biz. owner. I live in San Francisco and you would think there would be lots of competition but I would have to say very very little...and no one I know of is going in showing them first before I even get the job how I can make their brand look better...its not to long after I have a new client...and then upsells...

Thank goodness these aren't like the awful WAP websites I used to do for people in the early 2000s. They were horrid to do, simply horrid. And finding the hosting that could do them - a real pain the in the neck..

It was SO horrible. You had to do loads of MIME stuff as well. And the darn phones all supported it differently. Still, I made a fair income selling combined HTML and WAP websites in the early 2000s. Enough to cover beer and guitar money I guess. |

If they are not then you have to create new pages etc so why not do it and optimize them for the search engines. Thats the other thing with the converters is that you have very little control over traffic and SEO. We like to develop them and customize for the business and add lots of on page SEO. We then put them in an http://m.company.com This will eliminate any duplicate content and be picked up by mobile search engines. You wont get much of this with the duplicators and template sites. Hi Moxil Please understand I really like WPTouch and think it is an excellent system but not in all circumstances. I am basing it on experience nothing else. For example here is a regular site of one of our customers. Vale Display Solutions If you try and use WP Touch for most of their pages it looks horrible because there are tables, bits of flash etc. And I certainly don't want to change their site in order for it to look good on a mobile site. As for traffic etc I think for a business a site you have full control over will always outperform any generator. Again just my experience. So here is a question for you. If I want to look at my wptouch site on my pc not my phone what is the url to do this? Quentin |

Thanks to Scott for the idea, and to Quentin, which made this possible. There really seems to be no competition at this time, yet we can "create" demand, aka show the value to the business owner when you combine QR Codes with mobile sites. One thing I've added to the model above is offering a web PAGE on OUR site to the bizz owner. For this option, I charge $97 plus either $37/m for hosting and one change a month, or $57/m for one change a week. It makes for another option for those who wouldn't take the full site but still want the benefit of a mobile presence. It also works for small businesses who don't really need a complete site. And once your template is done, which took me a while, it only takes 15 minutes per client afterward, and very low maintenance. And of course, they become clients in your sales funnel. |

Great point Jay! It took me a long time to build the first one as I ran into a few problems (I didn't fully read the directions) I spoke with Quentin on Skype and he guided me through the last step and my mobile site is up and running. What is on your one page design? I assume -Header -Biz name -Biz phone number -Biz address -Link to main site? I plan to pick up the phone tomorrow and start setting up some appointments. My goal is to sell 2 of these this week. |
