A client is interested in QR codes but wants to see how many people are scanning it and clicking onto their links.

Is there a software/website that can do that. create the QR codes and then give me visibility of how many people are scanning it etc?

  • You of course can do the tracking of going to any particular landing page in analytics. That would in essence tell you how many folks are scanning it.
  • You can use the free Google analytics.

  • You can't ever know how many people scan the QR codes,

what you can do though is create a link that only the people that scan the QR code can click...

so if your website is www.bloobybobswidgetmachinations.qom

make an account and a tracking link on bit.ly that takes you there, and you can track clicks in there.

    Hope I helped
  • I have an account with QReatebuzz and that tells me how many scans I get just fine..
    try it out!

  • delivr.com will track views and scans
  • If you want to track URL's, use bit.ly or goo.gl.

    • Second this method.

Register for Bit.ly (free) and tie your QR code into a bit.ly link and when the code is scanned and the page visited you'll get a hit. I use it a lot for all my tracking.
  • I am a bit new to QR codes. I know that there are a number of tools that create QR codes. I get a different QR code for the same URL on different tools. Shouldn't I get the same QR code from all these tools in theory?

Is there a chance that two person might create the same QR code for different URLs? That would be a disaster.
