  • One of the more popular ones is: Email Marketing Software & Email Marketing Services from AWeber

Very simple to use - I use it in my business.

    • Thanks.

is the 19$/month for one page only or can I add unlimited pages/campaigns?
  • I used the old version of awebber under the profollow label and I can say I loved them. They will likely be who I use next time as well.

    • @WalterW the $19 a month is for up to 500 subscribers. You can have several lists and manage each list - send as many emails as you'd like. After 500 subscribers the price goes up a bit here's a link to there price page www[dot]aweber[dot]com/pricing.htm
      (not an affiliate link).
I love Aweber. I've tried MailChimp too (free up to 500 subscribers) but I didn't find it to be as user friendly and doesn't seem to have the same ease with forms. But you might like it as a second option. I do love Aweber though!
    • Profollow (and all white label versions of aweber) are getting moved back to aweber..if not already done so. I had an account with profollow as well.

  • I know I'm new here, but I think this might be in the wrong section :3.

Also, if you use wordpress at all, there are a few free plug-ins to manage email lists.
    • [1] reply
    • Can you please name few of those plug-ins?
Right now im just looking for anything free w/ what to work with and see how it would look in the page etc.

I tried MailChimp and it seems to be great free option for some kind of fill-out, because I can't put it in my theme, ppl can only subscribe via their link.

      Is AWeber the same?
  • I'd recommend Aweber but they've been cracking down hard on marketers by banning their accounts. Be careful, don't be too aggressive with your mailings.
  • Yeah I miss the old pricing that profollow had until a few months ago. But the service with aweber is just the best in the industry. But you get what you pay for and there are cheaper competitors out there.
  • We use 12all mailist, but it's getting expensive.
    interspire seems cheaper.
  • I use Email marketing software for web designers - Campaign Monitor

    - I can manage client's email lists from it within separate sub accounts
    - I can charge clients whatever I want
    - It integrates easily with WordPress Forms - Gravity Forms Contact Form Builder and Lead Data Management Plugin For WordPress
    - It kicks ass when it comes to delivery, even over aweber, icontact and getresponse.
  • I tried Campaign Monitor but wasnt a fan of their emails needing to be designed the way they have it setup...I could see it being a pain in the butt for any clients that dont have a designer on staff (or want to pay for you to bring one on)

    • You just create a blank template to send out plain text email. Plus, you only have to create the template once to use for all your clients.

  • well, Ive heard lot about aweber, but never used it myself. So this is kind of interesting for me to see where this thread goes, and I'd also have a better understanding of it before i will actually buy it.
  • I use Benchmark Email Marketing Services for my business.
  • Nice info Voasi i will check it out
  • I would also like to get into this discussion... and surprisingly I have questions as well.

I used aweber previously, but it doesn't fit my needs. I have an email list already and I can't afford to lose all those emails by needing them to confirm or opt in again with them. Does anybody know of another service, besides constant contact that you can just plug in your email list or import the contacts without needing them to opt in all over again? icontact is another one, but I'm wanting something a bit better.

Right now I am using a static IP with rapid mailer and can send out 40k emails in about 4 or 5 hours.

I am open to suggestions from any of you who have used these other services. Mail chimp, do you need to have everyone opt in again?

ALSO, I want to be clear that I do not want any plug in. I do not use wordpress, I prefer Joomla as it is more flexible. There are plug ins and I do have opt ins autosaved but I do not want to send emails out from my domain.

    • you might want to go with VPS and use proxy, if you plan to send that type of load,..lol
      • [1] reply
    • I've uploaded a small list of about 50 to MailChimp and they did not require every one to opt in again.

  • If you gonna be in the IM business, aweber is a must,..give it a try, its only $1 to start for the first month!
  • I agree with all of you,
    Thanks for sharing your thoughts...
I ll keep this in mind in future. It ll really help...

  • My runaway favorite is Instant Customer...

  • If you use a wordpress blog and do not have an autoresponder service you can use a free plugin "WP Autoresponder And Newsletter Plugin". It is okay for a fresh start.

You could use Mailchimp - this is a free autoresponder service upto 2000 subscribers. They are not that great about affiliate marketers.

Most popular email services are aweber and getresponse. I personally prefer aweber, but some of my clients have getresponse.

For email marketing software I know Interspire is very popular.

    Good luck.

    • Hi, I use Aweber for varius accounts and I also just subscribed to GVO's HostThenProfits for only $9.97 per month. The package is awesome. It includes eResponder, VideoProducer, WebConference, Hosting, BloggerBuilder, on and on.

  • I heard somewhere that no prior opt-in is required for an initial B2B mailing. Is this correct and is there an email provider that will allow you to mail to a list with no opt-ins?
    • [1] reply
    • Aweber requires an opt in. Constant contact and mailchimp apparently don't.

  • We can help you with this. We are using the stealth system that allows you to add up to 32 IPs per cluster. If you are interested to learn more about our software, just let me know.

  • What email service can I use to collect all my spam addresses into .
  • As i think Aweber will help you, because i am using it from a long time.
  • I would like to use Benchmark & Mailchimp Email Marketing Services
  • Is there a wordpress plugin that's designed for offline clients? Simple, reliable and manageable.
    • [1] reply
    • What exactly are you looking for the plugin to do? I'm in the process of developing something right now myself.
  • The last time I checked, aweber sends confirmation email to all your email recepients before you can be able to send anything. This sucks if you have a business which already have been confirmed by your email list. I use Mailchimp, Its free up to 2000 emails a month I think.
    • [1] reply
    • Aweber does send confirmation if you are importing an existing list.

The problem that I've had with MailChimp is that they do not like marketers and are very quick to suspend or kill your account. I tried them when I first got into IM because they were free but they are too strict in my opinion.
  • I use iContact for offline clients because I can import the email addresses from the client directly. They are all people who opted in, just signed up in the store. I wouldn't mind checking out other ones but like others have said, I can't have the double opt in requirement.
  • Aweber is good one. Or you can check out <a href="BusinessWorldList - safelist, Free Safelist, Pro, Submitter, Marketing, Email">Business World List</a>, For $12 a month, you can send marketing email to 100K subscriber every 48 hours.
  • Any one has best way to do email marketing and how to get business email, currently I get email from classified site.

But I don't get any positive result from it and have worry about it.....

    • I'm looking for a Wordpress plugin that is simple and easy to setup that I can put on client website to help them develop their list. Most lists will probably relatively small and allow me or them to quickly send emails and newsletters with coupons, news offers, etc.
Optin widget should be able to easily select standard graphics messages with a drop down box or choose custom, along with color choices, edit text, landing page after submit, (shortcode capable?).
Maybe a way or template for newsletter with slick graphics to make the emails pro and easy?
I'm basically looking for something quick and simple to set up on local nich sites to bring extra value. I want something with no extra/monthly costs and I'd love something that also was able to display ads or something else after submit in place of the optin.

^^Get response works great for me.

I have a couple of smaller lists I mail to on a "semi-daily" basis that I use the free version of the link shown below for -- they allow 20-40 free emails per day before they start bugging you to upgrade to a paid version.

    Free Email Marketing Software
  • I think it's important that you kick some tires when choosing your email service provider.

Obviously, I'm bias, but I do love that GetResponse is integrating a lot of features and functionality into our email marketing solution. Even if I wasn't the GetResponse community manager, I'd still think it was pretty darn cool that we've integrated intuitive analytics into the dashboard to make it easy, added an iphone app and will soon release a free integrated inbox preview (rendering test) too.

That's all cool stuff, but in the end, what is really important is to try out the solutions available and find the one which suits your needs best. It may take a little of your time, but it will be worth it!

    Regards,
    jim
  • Aweber all the way. I've tried Getresponse before and it seemed incredibly difficult to set up. Not bashing them... i'm just sayin... i think Aweber is better for your email marketing purposes.

    • If done well, a big YES. If you give your customers a reason to part with their details by giving them something useful and purposeful then they will. For example, send out a quarterly or monthly newsletter with ideas about something from your sector but not only your product. They get something, you get something.
    • sqcd summed it up very well. Email marketing done right is about adding value to people's lives. Talk less about what your product or service does and more about what people are doing and can do with it to enhance their daily lives. Don't expect something for nothing from email marketing because you'll get what you give.

      Regards,
      jim
  • There are so many incl. free ones but one great tool is GetResponse. Works very well for us.
