Tattoo Parlor Website?

Is there any reason to have a website for a tattoo parlor? They already have Facebook they can use, where they post their pictures, can share with their friends and potential customers.

Is there any reason to try to make a website for a tattoo parlor?

their facebook page is not owned by them, and they have no data from the members. you'll want email addresses of your customers so you can email market to them, you don't want to be so dependant on facebook all the time because it is very limiting.

Without a doubt they should have a website. They can list it on their Google places page assuming they have one and also use it for many other things. Sometimes customer want to get more information on a service provider that facebook just can't provide. Especially when you are talking about something as intimate as getting a tattoo.

I think the better question is there any reason a tattoo parlor shouldn't have a website? With website builders like Homestead and 1&1 there really is no reason not to put a site up.

LOl. Good out of the box thinking there. Make WSO and call it Ideas Jacking Pro. and explain the art of uncovering hidden ideas from forums to make big $$$ from ideas that gets discussed on threads but never get put into action.

There are some stats you can look up as well that can show them how many people search Google for local service providers. Also, if you can find a few of their competitors websites you could show them those sites and say that they are losing potential customers to those guys.

Once you get 50 posts feel free to PM me with any questions!

My question is "Why would any business NOT have a website?"

Yup I agree with all of the above. It seems that they are doing well with social media promotion but a website is a must for every business. Not having one is like going to a business meeting with all dressed up but without pants. Specially a tattoo shoe as they can do a great tattoo style layout portfolio and all the crazy stuff tattoo lovers like.

Good point here - Facebook can be very limiting and you don't own the content - Your facebook page can be shut down at any time...

So these concepts apply to other places beyond Tattoo Parlors... Think head shops or dispensaries, etc...

Of course they need a website. They need a place they own where they can showcase their art. Social media is a wonderful tool, but they don't own their content on social media sites. You get what you pay for on free sites, & you certainly don't get a backup.

They also need to highlight their artists and each artists particular strong points. I don't have any tattoo's but I would imagine that it is a highly specialized field due to the artistic nature. & someone (not a flash lover) who knows what they want will want to research artists they are considering.

I agree LeahRae...highlighting the artists and their portfolio would be the most important reason to have a website.
It's amazing how many businesses do not have websites.
I thought it was completely saturated...NOT!

They should have, for customers to search and look for new designs and to market their parlor as well as their talented artists.

Everyone already covered my talking points, lol! Yes indeed, every business should have their own website. For brand recognition, management, trust, etc. As well as for a controlled hub that the company itself maintains. A place to be found in the search engines and increase visitation, etc etc. All reasons that just having a facebook page won't cut it.
