Offline Lead Generation Suggestions Please

I am working with a dealership and want to generate leads for callbacks, there is a website contact form...but can anyone help give me some creative ideas to generate local leads and possibly some kind of incentive to give them? I have not ever worked with dealerships before.

Thanks for any help!

    Hey Austin Rose,

Here are a few ideas for you...

--You could use QR codes or Number to text for each vehicle and print them out to put on the car, that say Scan or Text this for a Free video about this car. You could have the options about the car, a video test drive or whatever you want.

This could be great because if they come when the dealership is closed they can scan the code or text number to get the free video and you just put them in a follow up sequence for that car. That is if you want to setup an autoResponder for each car.

-Make sure they have a Facebook page, Facebook Places, Google Places and have a Google Brand page with good CTA (call to action)

    - If they are advertising in any auto dealer books you could setup a mobile marketing campaign and put it in the ad...Text this number to get a video, details on this car

Just a few ideas. Good luck!

Doesn't matter if it's a dealership or any other business in a different industry...

If you want to generate a great response from your target market you need to offer them something that would BENEFIT them to obtain.

So a better question is: "What can we (as a dealership) offer people to help them during the car buying process?"

What you offer may also be determined by the location / stage of the prospect's buying process--early research vs buying car in immediate future.

The MEDIUM you use isn't so important (social media, newspaper, radio, mobile etc.) as long as the MESSAGE matches the MARKET's desire.

Then there's also the question / issue of whether the dealership has a proper follow-up system in place for all the leads they generate...etc.

You could make thousands of dollars just implementing effective business systems within the company.

    But that's a whole other topic...heh.

For example, you could do a "Top 10 Car Buying Mistakes and How to Avoid Them"

Then every salesperson, receptionist, and piece of marketing that goes out could promote the report and every person involved could collect the contact information of a lead (or use an optin form) to deliver it etc.

The process could be greatly polished off, but that's my quick 2 minute spiel on the topic

    Cheers,

      Hi Dexx,

Thank you!! Could you possibly tell me a little more about this?.....I don't want to take up to much of your time, but you have really peaked my interest

    Hi

I believe a member offered a WSO around this topic towards the end of 2011. Some of my students mentioned it but I never got round to checking it out.

I'm sure you can find it if you search

    A few thoughts
    1. QR codes great.QR codes on all salespeople's biz cards and effective autoresponder setup - handing out a business card doesn't get action from prospect. QR Codes on model cars parked at malls and special events.
    2. Make sure reviews are 4 and 5 star on Google, yahoo bing and Yelp so they get more calls.
    3. Mobile website - separate from current site that's brand based Get leads from mobile phone users searching.
    3. Videos (short) on YouTube and added to google places etc
    4. Facebook page with custom call to action, QR code
    5. Set up a lead generating website for the brand or a special sale they're having and drive leads from it and track the leads.
    6. Sell your services setting up 1 - 5 + a system to collect good reviews at the dealership from customers who just bought or even test drove a car.

Car dealerships spends thousands/month on television and print ads + YP. Very difficult to separate them from their ad sales reps and ad agencies so focus on what those guys don't do and measure your results to wow your client. If you can talk them into cutting one area of wasteful advertising, it pays for you + gets more business for them.
    Cheers to your success
