NEED FEEDBACK ON MY WEBSITE!

Guys and Gals,

This is an offline/online business idea of mine, and I badly could use your input and feedback on my website...good or bad!

The website is surveyNwin(dot)com...you'll see what it's all about when you visit.

I've been using facebook ads(13 clicks with 0 responses so far) and flyer delivery(1000 flyers delivered and 2 responses). My gut tells me that people are leary to share their contact info- even if it gives them a chance to win an Amazon Kindle Fire. I also have a feeling that I might stem some of those fears if my website was more professional.

Anything you can share is much appreciated- thanks!

Regards,

Bill

    hey there,

I'd personally think about the layout of your text a little more - in particular the where you explain how it works.

    Good luck

I would review the layout also. It appears to me as if the info. should be higher up. maybe less wordy. Maybe a graphic at bottom. Overall is appears interesting, just my look and respond thought. Good luck with it.

Once i go in i found the error.
The kindle fire picture which you need to edit it because below of the kindle picture seem like get cut into half and it does't look like shadow.

Beside that you need to state up how to join your contest clearly.
Make the point in bullet form and shorten will convince people to join it up.
Secondly , do not request too much from customer when they fill out the form. Too much fields will scare away and cause them feel unsecure to answer it .
Maybe try to use objective format or give some choices for them to answer.

When designing and setting up your site, always keep in mind your end goal.

The site has three navigation buttons at the top, that huge header area, and then the header image that says the websites name - what does that tell the visitor?

    Absolutely nothing..

Work on getting a solid headline that they can read through and get the gist of the entire site.

It took me at least 20-30 seconds to even understand what you were offering, and I still don't really get what the whole offer is about.. and I'm a decently educated visitor.

    Something to the effect of:

"Fill in Our Favorite Home Service Survey Below and Get Entered to Win a Free Amazon Kindle - It Only Takes 2 Minutes!"

Small paragraph of text, then the fields/form.

    Great idea.

I think it would get results if its done on Facebook.

As for the site it needs to be to point with few words as possible and make it look professional.

I agree with the others, try to review the layout of your website. Even though you run a legit business, others might think otherwise. It sort of feels like those spam sites that is running amok on the Internet nowadays... Just saying.

Also try to put more tabs on your website as it makes it easier to go through. Don't cram everything into one page

    Hey Bill,

In addition to the other comments here that I agree with, I personally would not be giving my contact info to anyone knowing that they'd be sharing it with god knows how many other people.

The incentive you're offering would certainly encourage me to signup for ONE email newsletter where you sent out special offers from local businesses, but I don't think anything would encourage me to give my info blindly to others.

Also - it's not really clear from your sales page, but is this something just for a local area or is this nationwide? Assuming it's for a local area, I think you need to mention that in your headline to get locals interested and you should probably look into any regulations that may apply to running a sweepstakes like this in your area.

    HTH,

    Steve

Yeah I would agree with David B.

Try the campaign out on Facebook and create a basic, custom app with the same information you have on the website.

People are on Facebook to be social all day, everyday. When they see their friends have signed up to win a free kindle, it's social proof and can go viral much quicker than a URL can.

Just keep your focus on making it clean and concise so that people can fill out what they need to win....good luck! =)

Thanks again everyone- I appreciate the input!

It's clear from what you all shared and what I believe...giving away even something as cool as a Kindle Fire isn't going to motivate enough people to share their contact info.

But...I do think this idea has merit, and I invite anyone else who agrees with me to form a partnership to see if there is a better way to make this idea work.

It's a fact that small businesses are always looking for new customers- preferably in their own backyard if they are a home service business. And we know they spend lots of money each year on all kinds of marketing- most of which never pans out for them.

So...my goal is to approach lead generation in a unique way to help these businesses. They'll pay for something that works.

Strange how no one said this was the issue yet you still make this statement.

Lets try again. The website is confusing AND asks for lots of info AND makes me feel like Im going to get spammed .
I dont care if you are giving away $1000, people are not going to fool with it.

Dont really understand what you are tying to accomplish here.

      Eddie!

Buddy...thanks so much for the feedback.

To answer your question...what I'm hoping to accomplish is to find a new way to deliver targeted leads to home service companies and get rich in the process so I don't have to work anymore...I hate work.

      I can dream right?

Hey Dream big I say..but without some work it will only be a pipe dream!

Just seems like this may not be the best method of delivering targeted leads to these businesses. Have you even thought this one through?

Lets say that somehow you get loads of people to fill out the survey , why would any company pay you for these basically random names. Its not like they actually need that product at the moment.
Just dont see where the money is in this one-Try building rental/lead generation sites as a method to get leads for local service providers, that is a proven method and can provide long term residual income( a lazy man's dream)

    Good luck to you
