Questions on Lead Generation

Hey
I've been doing web design and seo for a few months now,working with business.

But I would like to start moving into the the direction of Lead Generation.

* = Question I really want answered

So my main question is how to do you charge for lead generation (obviously your charging for the lead)

*Do I charge for a lead or a sale? or both?

Should leads be forward straight to them or go to my email address then I send the lead?

How do I know/track they got a sale?

How to find businesses to do lead gen with?

*Do I simply just start getting leads then auction them off to the highest bidder?

*How do I go about contacting business about lead generation. (I can find business but what should I say to them? Is more of the question)

*Has anyone had experience doing phone lead generation by recording calls through a forwarder number?

Is there other ways to do phone lead gen?

Should I stay well away from phone Lead Gen?


Sorry about all the questions but hopefully this can help a lot of other people.

    I'll get this started off...

    You're better off finding an industry that can pay you some good money for the leads, and not bother about the sales.

    If you want to get into a revenue sharing scheme, I'd do that with only people you trust (friends or family that own businesses)

    The obvious reason for that is because you don't know if the company you're dealing with has very good sales abilities, so you could end up doing a lot of work generating leads while they're blowing it on the other end.

    It's much easier to track lead generation, you'll find a couple threads around here explaining exactly how to do that using phone recording software and such..

    I'll leave the other questions to some others to bite into...

    Honestly....you are over analyzing Led Gen.

    Either create a tracking code or dedicated phone number to track leads.
