EDIT: Now that I think about it, to give back to the community, I'm going to print out small booklets with your money making ideas and give them out to the homeless, since you don't need a big investment for them.

It's a great idea and would work great. My question is this though: are you the originator of this idea? I saw the same thing on Jim Cockrum's website (or was it in his book?)
Is he talking about you or did you take that idea?

YES, I'm the originator of this idea and the ebook Electric Drill profits which I have posted here for free here on the Warrior Forum and which I sell on my website http://www.NicheBizIdeas.com ,so if you saw my idea, word for word on Jim Cockrums website, then he copied and pasted it and it is not his idea, it's mine.

that idea was one of the several ideas that were in a book I had resell rights to several years ago (if it's the one I'm thinking of). I actually had someone approach me with that service over 12 years ago and it worked. Don't worry - I didn't take the idea from you.

Jim,

I know you are professional and honest, so I didn't think you did. I originally came up with my peephole business idea in 1994 and I wrote a simple report on it and sold it on ebay, but have updated it over the years and many people have taken my idea and turned it into their own and sold it online, but that's just how things go when selling info online.

just downloaded and read the report on my android.

This is a simple and effective way for generating extra income in your spare time. Best part is ANYONE can do this.

if I wasn't posting from my phone I would leave a more detailed review but, great read and I also checked your site which also has a lot of great ideas . thanks for the share

I'm not sure what happend to the wholesale sources website I provide in my Electric Drill Profits ebook, but they were affiliated with the Home Depot, so it's funny they just vanished.

I will try and find another wholesale supplier and post it here and update my ebook once I do find one.

Below are 2 links to 2 doorviewer/peephole supliers that I found on ebay that are selling them in lots of 12-150 for under $2 a piece.

Ready to step this up a bit?

Go to crimereports.com and do a search of your city. Limit the search to theft, vandalism, b&e, theft from vehicle, and property crime. Do a 14 or 30-day search and print the results.

Now you know which key areas to target for flyers on door viewers!

Thank You, I checked it out but nothing coming up for Toronto. But just last week it was all over the live news "17 schools put on lockdown and swat all over a big area looking for a man wanted for a stabbing" They had let him get away and started their manhunt for him in many neighborhoods. I am sure I can find out what exact place and try there.

I would like to thank you again and tell you that I am taking action on this e-book and I wanted to add another idea for this I just had.

I know you said to offer this service to people that don't have a peephole BUT what about a second flyer that has the peephole service, but is focused more on people getting the second child height peephole. I will be trying this as well because I seen many houses that have a peephole already and I think that this could be a good way to sell them a second one because they already know the benefit from using their peephole so giving them the opportunity to do it so their children are safe may just work. I will report back about how it goes.

I have already typed up 1 flyer for the peephole service and a call to action to ask about half price child height peephole. I will be also printing out your sample flyer and typing up two more. I have a big family gathering this weekend and plan on getting opinions from them on what they think is most effective. I will now also be typing up some type of flyer to deliver to the doors with a peephole.

I also had a question about doors with windows beside them, do you think I should deliver to them as well. My soon to be wife said I should because if she didn't want to be seen by the person on the other side of the door this would allow you to still be invisible and not have to open doors to sales, or religious solicitors (which looking out the window will let them see you). I just wanted some more opinions on this.

I will be starting to hand out flyers on Monday after I get the opinions and I plan on buying some wood that is the size of a standard door and making sure I have some experience before doing it on actual clients. (Not that I don't think I can drill a hole) I just want to make sure I am not looking unprofessional when going to my first few clients.

Your idea about installing a second peephole for kids is good and I did mention that idea with some detiails in the updates section at the end of my Electric Drill Profits ebook, so check that out as it might help.

Yes I didn't make the idea up I got it from you, I thought you meant like only offer it to the people your installing it for. I was saying that you could drop a flyer at the houses that already have a peephole and the sales letter you drop here would be different by only focusing on installing a child height peephole. Sorry I didn't mean to sound like I made up the idea.

Don't forget the possibility of the backdoor.

Not everybody has a backdoor with a large window and high visibility.

  Installing a peephole in a backdoor or sidedoor is a great idea.
  
  I know in my area more people use their sidedoor more than their frontdoor.

GeroC,

With any idea there is no way of knowing if it will work or be a success, but if you don't impliment your ideas and try you will never know, so the same goes for advertising with flyers, so what I'm saying if you want to focus on child hieght peepholes then create and print out some flyer and distribute them and see what happen.

Hello,
Thank you for the free ebook, I finished reading it and the next morning (today) i went for a 35 min walk down 5 streets and found 30 houses that could use them!! I will be writing up a few sales letters (and including your provided sample letter) and asking some friends and family what one makes the most impact on them.
I also thought of some add on’s to this offer.

1) Here in Toronto a lot of mail is still delivered door to door and I noticed that some doors had mail flaps - So what about a mail flap instillation for the doors without it, so people can have comfort in knowing no one can go through their mail - This way when you’re walking down a street to deliver flyers you could drop at more door not just at selected few.

2) What about a Joint Venture with a Front Door seller/installer, a lot of the doors I looked at needed new doors, so you send him business for % or amount per referral and it’s a win-win-win for everyone involved

3) Or you could offer a service and give the doors a good sanding and paint job to refinish them to look all new again

Thought I would share and get feedback on what people think about these ideas.

This is GENIUS. I'll never do it because I'll probably break someone's door in half, but GENIUS.

Too bad not a lot of folks will take action on it. Anyone could easily do 10 per day just driving around saying "Hi, I'm Jim...The Peephole Guy. I'm here, you have no peephole and you really need one. (flashes the drill a little and entertains) I can do it for $20 and be out of here in 10 minutes. You can watch me skip to my car in your new peephole. Where do you want it installed?"

Brilliant yet simple Idea. I love it!

In the next few weeks, i will be implementing phase 2 of the peephole project, since phase 1 got no responses and i have 120 peepholes to sell!

The isse, i believe, is the door hangar. I'm redeigning it to be more marketable, rather than using a scare tactic. I'll let u know how it goes. I am also doing mobile web sales, so Im busy.

Your Welcome!

The instructions in my report are based on installing peephole in wood doors, but the steps are pretty much the same for a metal door except you will need a metal drill bit and wear gloves so you dont burn yourself from the hot metal chips.
