Aweber vs Mailchimp

Hey guys,

My website is about to be done, however I am at the stage where I need to decide whether to choose Aweber or Mailchimp... What are you guys using?

Personnaly, i use mailships ,i think mailships it"s better than aweber also mailships give u a free use when your list doesnt if your list is less than 2000

  Yes... especially if your list is 100% opt in... mailchimp is probably my favorite. Once again though, if you do any affiliate marketing, you don't want to use mailchimp.

Depends on what you're doing... if you're doing internet marketing, selling affiliate products and things like that... then aweber... mailchimp is more for actual businesses to send newsletters and stuff that won't be considered high risk.

So it is also good for e-mail marketing as well, correct? I will be sending followup e-mails through an autoresponder in hopes that it will convert potential clients into new clients eventually.

I am finding most of the experts use Aweber so you will get more advice and help...am personally using Aweber...hope this helps

If it's affiliate marketing related, go with aweber. Also much safer to use the autoresponder than any broadcast emails, especially in certain verticals. Mailchimp has a serious issue with affiliates, I would not recommend them to ANYONE.

Mailchimp has the right to ban your account, or your ability to send out emails whenever they want.

And they will do so if you ever use an affiliate link in your emails. They will also do is if you use your list to promote offers like CPA offers.

I had 3 of my accounts banned after sending 1 email. Nothing crazy, just a simple email with my affiliate link at the bottom.

So unless you're only going to be using your list as a means of communication and updating, I would stay away from Mailchimp.

Building a list is a serious task which requires a lot of investment in terms of monetary and time. So to be very safe, go for Aweber. Better do it right the first time now than having to re-start from scratch again in the future.

I really like aweber and icontact - we use Infusionsoft but you need someone to work it for you as it ain't easy to understand!!

GetResponse all day. By far the best out there!

Say someone emails you and asks you to put them on your mailing list for the future. If you have aweber, guess what, aweber will make that person confirm their subscription by sending a confirmation email. Pretty stupid since they just asked you to add them!

Well, with getresponse you can add up to 50 emails a day if needed.

That's just my 2 cents
