Calling travel agencies

Pretty soon I'm going to be calling travel agencies about a piece of software (an interactive map) that my friend designed a while back and wants me to promote. The map costs $17 and has many more features than Google Maps that I know small-time travel agencies would love to feature on their website, so I'm wondering what angle I should approach them with. I have no real experience with cold calling and am kind of scared but I figure if I keep it cool and casual and not too salesy then the cold calling won't be such a turn off.

Also, what's the best way to get them to the site and make a sale over the phone?

You are going to cold call to sell something that costs £10? ($17)

Moreover, something that quite possibly no one in the Travel Agency world has asked for?

You not got anything better to do with your time and money?

Anyway you need Distribution Channel Marketing if you really must. eg Whoever provides booking software to TAs for you to bundle it in.

    Think Microsoft and PC Manufacturers.

    Expect short shrift.

Can it be converted into an App?
That may be the better route to go with it.
