Get Clients In Days With This Old Method

I shared this thread during Christmas, but I don't think too many people saw this. So I am sharing it again! Enjoy!

================================================== ==

The Interview Method has been turned around over the past few years. So many different people are finding ways to do this technique. WSO sellers everywhere are rehashing this method and recreating it constantly to see if they can make more sales with this offline method.

This single strategy has helped not just me, but also thousands of other Warriors and other offline marketers gain instant cash from offline business owners. This single method has helped me with the following:
  • Gain Instant Credibility
  • Gain Faster Authority
  • Develop A Strong Relationship With Business Owners
  • And best of all...
  • There Is No Need To Cold Call

The Interview Client-Getting Strategy Explained In Full Detail

Step One - Set Up A Blogger Blog

This simple blog should have an address related to a certain niche. Maybe "VoiceteachersCa.blogspot.com" or "burgersCa.blogspot.com". It should be towards a single type of business, so you will end up promoting to that single business in particular.

Step Two - Message The Business Owners

Visit Yelp.com and find business owners

Look for their website and then search for their email

Message them with the following message:

"I saw your "burgers e.g." site and I really like it. I was wondering if you guys would be willing to do a short interview for my blog at sunfra. Just let me know so I can set you up with the questions.

Regards,
Your Name"

Step Three - Send them the interview

The questions you could ask are:

How long has your business been out there?
What are your main specials?
Do you guys offer discounts that my readers can enjoy?
And anything else you can think of!

Step Four - Sell

This part is simple. After they have done the interview and you post it to your blog as a blog post, you then email them around 3-5 days later asking them about their marketing. If you were selling rep management to remove their bad reviews online, you could send them this:

"Hey NAME,

What's up? How are you guys? I just wanted to drop by and ask how your business is doing as of now. I did a quick search and noticed that you guys have plenty of bad reviews. I would really like to help you out with this because your restaurant is really nice and I can easily help overshadow those bad reviews you have. If you are interested on how I can help, just hit reply!

Regards,
NAME"

Of course, that is just for rep management. Here's the thing, no matter what service you're selling, offer good information and be SINCERE and GENUINE!

Step Four - Receive Payment

2 out of 8 business based on my own research will end up paying me in the end on my service. I have sold mobile sites, rep management services, flyers, logos, and all kinds of things with this technique. The goal is to simply showcase the biggest problem the business has. If it's website design and they have a bad looking site, sell them on website design. I have done this enough times to say that IT WORKS FOR ALL SERVICES.

Don't forget to receive payment by sending them an PayPal email invoice.

Step Five - Rinse and Repeat

Just keep doing this over and over again until you have many interviews. Once you get tired with one niche or you have contacted almost every one in that category, go on to another business niche and go again.

Don't forget to upsell them on other services!

Hope this helps!

Interviews are so powerful because they don't know you're even selling them....most people like to talk about themselves anyway so it's an easy "sell".

One of the most overlooked sources of acquiring clients....

It also puts you in a position to know things that an average salesperson wouldn't know about a business...

Most people bang their head on the wall cold-calling and this is much more effective.

I'm glad you shared this because most people don't talk about it here much.

Interesting concept internetmarketer1, thanks for posting it again.
Can it be modified for other types of business not just restaurants?
What's the average response rate from the initial email? Also what do you usually put in the subject headline?

I've been using this method with a few twists, for a long time now. In fact i just posted about it the other day. This tactic works well, very well. You can literally choose the businesses you want to work with & have a good chance of retaining them.

I have recently come across this thread and think the idea behind this is great.

Building a relationship with businesses so that they are more open to what you have to offer, and building trust, is what this very forum tells us to do. This ticks all those boxes.

I have set up my website ready and am in the process of collating the businesses to contact. In case anyone is interested, here is the site.

Just wondering what experiences/successes other warriors have had with this technique. Do you find the businesses are quite likely to buy after you have done the interview?

Start out by building a relationship? What a great idea! I tried this with cold calling but it's so much more empowering to have businesses calling me. Thanks for the share.

    Hey Internetmarketer

This is a nice technique which although I had heard of a while ago, I had forgotten about it and you've put a nice spin on it. Did you interview the businesses owners in person, or skype or just send them the questions to fill out by a word document?

    Cheers

That's a really great method to get leads without cold calling. And if your figures of getting work from 2 out of 8 to work with you hold up, it's quite awesome. Do you have any other methods like that, that you think work as well?
