How do you find and delete all the bad listings online? From Yelp to yellow pages? My client's companies old name was Joes Carpet Cleaning. When he bought it he wants it to be known as Carpet Cleaning, LLC (which is legally registered in his state by him). So how do I go about changing the old listings which have the same address? Or do I just delete them? If so how?

by hand. It sucks AND it doesn't always work.

it is brutal bro. frigging brutal.
You call and call then email and email and then submit forms and submit forms
then get drunk and start over ... yes, no joke. it is that bad.

The worst part. Is when one agrees, accepts your info, and does it wrong.
which as you know screws everything up, and you have to start over.

Only by this time you have run out of the money the client paid you.
So now your eating into your own pocket.

but you do it anyway. Because you want a satisfied customer.

Moral of the story. Don't do it. Have an employee do it,
Then bid high .. then stupid high ... then triple it.

Well his city only has 10,000 people in it, I'll just leave the duplicate listings. I can't imagine I'll have issues ranking in such a small area.

      before you decide that.

get his gps coordinates and look at google maps.

Look in a two mile radius, IF his circle falls outside of his city
and there is competing bizz IN that radius.

you have to do the work, or it will back fire.

if no competing bizz falls in that circle you are good to go.

people will argue that all day long. F them. I speak
from experience, and have nothing to gain by lending a hand.

Gawd...., there is one competitor within like 1.8 miles... Will I have to find all the duplicates, or could just deleting the Google+ listing be enough?

only if it falls in the google circle.

Thanks so much for this tip. I just eyeballed it, but there is a chance my radius does not hit the other company. How do I get the actual radius to show?

Sure I'm well rounded with algebra. But as you ask that question, I now realize I'm either over-thinking what you told me to do (with the radius), or my critical thinking skills are lacking...lol
