Excuse me fer "da Low-Class" reference BUT....I'm gonna "perk up yer day" with a money-making thingee I just did and....thought I'd relay to Fellow Warriors;

I read that House Sales for July will be 450,000 (down from a "normal July" of 700,000.

Well.....that's UP from June.....so....what does this mean to US" entroopeneers"?

It means (to me) that real estate agents are starting to get More Listings and More "House Hunters'" contacting them.....which means more Cash in THEIR pockets!

So.....how can us "entroopeneerial" people HELP THEM get more cash in their pockets?

Well....I've found 2 ways to do this...and get PAID for MY help;
1) Help RE Agents get More Sales
and
2) Help RE Agents get more Listings

Now...a way I've found to collect money from my Target-Market is find a way for THEM to make money!...or.....Make it Easier!

What I usually do is...place myself INTO the "bodies" of my Prospects"!

Thus.....let's say I'm real estate agent and I have a few Listings I'd like to sell and....I'd like to get more property owners to List with me. So....I make up a Flyer on my puter and print out some flyers and put them into the box I provide in front of the property

These flyers show a couple pictures of the property and my picture and contact info. I also pass the Flyers around....making sure they are in the Flyer Holders in the lobby of my RE Office.

I also run some classifieds in the local "Shopper" and Newspaper..... HOPING "House-Hunters" will contact me!

AND.....I also hope that other property owners THINKING ABOUT selling their property will see my promotion efforts and....contact ME to sell their property!

Well.....HOGWASH!.......WHOOPEEE FIZZ! This is what EVERY AGENT does!

So.......2 ways I've found to get RE Agents to Pay Me for MY service... is to help them......
1) Get House-Hunters interested in THEIR property Listings
and
2) Get House-Sellers interested in having THEM List their property

I can do both by making a "Video Tour" of their present Listings.


I do what I call...."Videos On Spec"! I grab photos off existing Listings, make up short 60 to 90 sec videos.....using PhotoStory3 (including background music then.....here's the "SECRET" to making serious money with this.....hold onto yer hats!

The 1st thing any Sales Person wants to do is....GET ATTENTION to.... WHAT.....they are selling!!!!

So....little ol' you is sitting in yer comfy home office and wondering HOW yer gonna git enuf money to buy petrol and.....you really don't want to go out use gas to....visit your prospect....

and....you don't want to phone your prospects telling them youve made this great Video that will help them sell it AND get other property owners, who see the Video to want to list with you....you know direct mail and email doesn't work....SO.....WHAT DO YOU DO?

You send an email with.....THE ADDRESS of your
RE agents Listing! in the SUBJECT LINE
!

"Re: 1326 SE Lane Ave"

Now....if you were a RE Agent trying to sell a property at "1326 SE Lane Ave".....would YOU Click and see what it's about?.....thinking it might be someone interested in buying?

IN A NEW YORK SECOND! YOU BET YER BIPPY!

The RE Agent Listing this property .....at THIS address.....KNOWS.....this address could mean CASH IN THEIR POCKET! So.....their email box could have 3 or 4 hundred emails BUT.......the ONE email with the "Address" of the property they are trying to sell....will get OPENED FIRST! YOU BET YER BOOTS!

Now.....here's what to do;
Make the Video.....get the Listing Agent to see it and.....offer to sell it to them for $190 (RE Agents do not want to fork out much money BEFORE they get paid....IF they'll get paid) and, if they like the Video you made for this property.....I offer "3 Videos for $450" $150 each! and, guess what.....MOST want the "$450 for 3 Videos" dealee.

So.....go to Craigs List.....find a property with 8 to 10 photos.....rt click the photos into a Text File.....make a Video using PS3......send an email with the ADDRESS OF THE PROPERTY in the Subject and.....WHALLA! $190 for 1 video...$450 for 3 and most will take the threebie!

Anyways.....thanks for letting me toss out a little Marketing Tidbit that could save you lots of Time and TROUBLE and.....bring you "Lots of Bux"

        It's called...."The PROOF is in the Pudding!" or....Here IT is!

        However.....you also "WaterMark" the vid with YOUR Contact info. Your "Watermark" also serves as "contact info" for other Agents who might want you to make "Video Promos" for them.

          In the email do you suggest we inform them of price or we should have them call us for more details and then give them the price for each video?

          Any specifics we need to get across in the email besides "Here is a video that was made exclusively for your listing.....and if you are interested in this service to give us a call back...". Something along those lines should work I assume. Keep it short and give a link to the watermarked YT video of the type of videos that can be done for them.

    So the price we are giving them is just for video creation and uploading to YT or giving them the the actual file? Do we need to do video marketing as well for them or we can upsell that at that point. Just asking since I'm sure they will ask well that video is good and all, but how will it benefit me?

    I really like to think positive and encourage people in all their endeavors, and I hope that this works out for you but I have my doubts because I am a Realtor. Now here's what I can tell you, every agent is different.

    I've seen some top producers whose business is simply built on the fact that they've been around for 30+ years and have tons of referrals coming their way, they are cheap as can be and barely do anything for their clients. Put out a lock box and a sign, print off some 'brochures' at home, take pictures with their cell phone, write SOME ALL CAPS MLS COMENTS, and wait for a buyers agent to sell it.As an agent myself I doubt you will sell many videos. These people aren't buying your video.

    Now more commonly a Top producer is actually a highly professional agent, they do the stuff you should be doing, they spend money to market the property. These are the people you think you are going to sell these videos too, but for $170 I get a professional photographer to take 30 photos with their wide angle lens and they create a virtual tour, which is basically what you are offering.

    Then there is the other 90% of agents who probably do 25% of the business. Most of them are too cheap to do anything because after they sell their 1 yearly house and pay NAR, the MLS, Sentrilock, and their broker (usually 30-50%) (these are the essentials) they don't have much profit. Most of these people won't even pay Zillow or Trulia $20 month to feature their listing moreless hire a professional photographer. Now, any agent that is too cheap to spen the $170 on the professional photographer is almost definitely too cheap to pay you $190 or $150 for a virtual tour. There is also software out there that companies are pushing on us that strings photos together and adds music for much less than this.

    Check out HomeVisit -- Powerful Marketing Solutions For Real Estate , you are going to be competing with companies like them for top agent business. Anybody who buys your video is probably a new agent, wet behind the ears and doesn't know about the alternatives.

    In my opinion, someone who KNOWS real estate and is working on his web design business, forget about Realtors.

    #1. most are cheap and don't do much business, you will be calling so many agents that don't do deals you are wasting time.

    #2. most of the top producers have established systems and relationships in place, have a dang good product to think about breaking in with them, most are also budget conscious. These are the guys you really need to succeed at marketing to agents.

    #3. apart from the top producers it is a revolving door type of business. Most people fail because they can't sell, others are like me and can sell but burn out and want to move on so even if you please your customers you are going to have a high turnover.

    #4. We get called and emailed off the hook, it is almost impossible to market to me at this point in my career. I already get tons of automatic emails title Re: 123 Your Listing St. from brochure and postcard vendors to data aggregators to you name it. I get calls all day long from people trying to sell me websites and social media management and my face on the shopping carts at my supermarket and my face on the Rx bags at the pharmacy and my face in some paper whose distribution they don't know and they work with Google and they work with Bing and blah and blah and blah. Marketing to realtors is OVERSATURATED.

    Anyways, that said there is a ton of money that we spend, but I'm afraid there are so many people trying to get a peice of the pie it doesn't leave a very big slice for you my friend unless you have some serious economies of scale. Anyways, if you can build a business like Homevisit, you got a shot, otherwise your next best option is getting a wide angle lens and doing some photography for agents. Some agents would rather go for an independent that will charge them $120 or so, a lot of them will throw in some brochures or string together a virtual tour or a floor plan or whatnot.

    This won't work where I am either.

    Realtors get real virtual tours for $99 all day long.
    Where a pro goes to the property, takes panaramic shots, and stitches them together.

    The same VT company can also make flyers and add SMS codes to them.

    Man, you just gave me a great idea with this post. We recently bought and sold a house and I realized most of the listings are crap. We hired the agent with the best listings in the market and sold our house on the 1st day because of it. What most agents need is someone to make them a killer listing because it's clear most aren't good at it. In houston we have HAR and half of the listings the listings aren't even complete and way too many don't have images at all. I think there is a huge market for this service and it would sell like crazy.

    Most anyone here that has been half way successful in IM could make a better listing than the average real estate agent.

      I'm not saying your house wasn't great or your agent wasn't great, but you probably sold your house on the first day because he priced it between 95-98% of what it is worth. Sorry we have agents that do that all over the place, then they brag about how they sold a home for 102% of list in 2 days and people believe they are great. They are just great at convincing people to under price their home.

      Anyways, this is not a great idea, the crappy incomplete listings you see are not because there are not people out their offering virtual tours it is because lots of agents are chumps and won't even take a few pictures and upload them to the mls.

        One concern that I would have is violating CAN-SPAM by using a deceptive subject line.

        Although the subject line is on topic, it is implying that a conversation has already been initiated. I could be wrong, and wouldn't mind someone else's advise.

        I would suggest simply putting "Interested in 243 Willow lane" as the subject. This way you get them to open it because it has a property address that they are trying to sell, but does not mislead them.

        Just my two cents.

I mean the NSA is reading every email and handing all the spam over to the DOJ to take care of. I receive so little spam nowadays I bet the court docket has shrunk considerably, they are policing it well, same with the DNC list, better not call any consumers. Double check the state DNC list while you are at it. Also, never ever, no matter what, for any reason, go over the speed limit, not even by a couple mph. You will get pulled over, and given a ticket, and your insurance will go up, and that is only the beginning!!!!!

            Regardless of how serious you may or may not think the rules are, I prefer to follow them. Yes maybe I lose out on a few clients because I play fair, but my image remains strong.

            People remember what I call "crapvertising" and if you want to run any local business it will hurt you. If your primary goal is out of area then fine you won't feel the hurt as much.

            Boils down to provide the lead a good reason to utilize your service, but don't manipulate them.

          Would that not be more deceptive? I thought the OP said to simply put the address in the subject line. You are saying to put the address and add "interested".... that would seem wrong and more likely to violate the can-of-spam act.

          Also, why are you guys so hateful? If the OP would have put this in a wso and sold it you would be signing praises.

            That broker called me & offered to help. He only got paid if he was able to help me sell.

            I POUNCED on his offer. Most people that buy boats are, like me, naive.

            You better go eat your Wheaties before you buy a 42 foot catamaran.

            Did he spam me with his offer? He just made a phone call & he got $2500 for his trouble.

            Not sure what he did to help me sell that boat, but Don really has me thinking......

            As a former owner of a very large boat, I know what pain the owner is in.

            Knowing what I know now about video marketing, this should be an easy way to get clients.

        Actually it sold for 15K over recent comps in the neighborhood. We started high expecting to need to negotiate down.

          Hey Crickets and Crickettes.....Holy Camoly.....I put up a Sample....I repeat SAMPLE of something I've done.....I explain that I am NOT SELLING anything here....just SHARING a program that has worked for me.

          And....I get "raked over da coals!".....if I don't answer ALL your questions or give ALL the deetails or....do NOT provide actual pieces I use....I get called a "scammer" or worse (What the "Cricket" thing is about seems like another way to give me a whack)

          Once more....PROOF of why I DON'T include any 'actual" pieces in my "SHARING" posts! My goodness my poor clients would get bombarded with yer questions, which THEY don't have Time for!

          Again.....I am NOT selling a product or program HERE! Simply SHARING some info with what I have done. It's then up to VIEWERS to do their "Due Diligence" and create their OWN samples and details and Pricing on what THEY want to do....IF they want to pursue the IDEA further.

          My goodness....why can't you people UNDERSTAND the difference between "Selling WSO's" or "Biz-Ops"......and providing ADVICE and SUGGESTIONS" about things that have worked for me!

    I have my doubts about this too. Real estate agents are a tough nut to crack, at least from my experience. I recently offered a free video doing this for a fairly large list of agents in my area.

    Some of the more successful agents called me back and were somewhat interested, but most were just too busy selling homes (market has really picked up here) to really care. One told me that they really don't need marketing tools to sell homes because they are selling so fast right now. Another told me that the majority of agents realtors are pretty cheap and won't spend money for something like this.

    I do believe they would pay for listings though. That seems to be what realtors really want. So if you can generate leads for home listings, you could probably do pretty well.

    The thing RE agents will really pay money for is listing prospects. That's where IM people should focus. Lead gen for listings.

    I list my stuff RE by owner or sometimes a RE friend will list my stuff for me for very little. Most agents want to build up network and be a listing agent, put it on MLS and sit back to collect a commish. It's almost offensive that they do little or nothing to actually sell your property once they get the listing other than list on MLS. Listing agents rarely ever find a buyer to show your dang house to. They usually just blow smoke up your butt for a high listing price, then a week after you sign the exclusive listing agreement, they start beating you the client up over the head, to lower your price. I think most RE agents are overpaid for what they do, kudos to REALTOR association for putting out the propaganda

    But they will pay for listing lead gen. and most people hammer them with selling tools/services/marketing for selling a property after they list it. They don't give much of a crap about that and they get hammered as many here mention. Focus on generating listing leads and they'll pay you a bunch.

      Wow! The Neg responses remind me of when I told my family & friends I was "thinking" about starting my first biz.....a "Burglar Alarm" business in the suburbs of Chgo.

      ALL tried to dissuade me. ALL came up with (their) reasons why my business wouldn't go (Too much competition! The affluent ALREADY HAVE their own Security. Homeowners are NOT interested. Crime is down....etc....etc...etc)

      6 mos after I started I had 17 employees and was giving ADT a run for their money!

      Yup! Out of the 1.2 millyun RE Agents....
      ... most have their own "Marketing Systems" in place
      ....there's companies ALREADY offering Videos and Video Tours
      ....they won't spend $150 for a Video Tour
      ....they get bombarded with "promo stuff"
      ....etc....etc...etc

      My program's MAIN "JOB" is NOT to sell houses! .....although they do ..... it's to "GET LISTINGS"! When property owners see a nice colorful VIDEO an Agent is using to sell properties.....they LIST WITH THAT AGENT and....yes....you are right!....most agents are Lazy.... so....Agents MAKE MONEY by getting Listings because when the Listing sells....they get a commission of a minimum of 1 1/2% of the selling price.

      Now....here's some "Home-Work" for you!

      Go to Craig's List in your town and click on"HOUSING....Real Estate for Sale" then click on "by broker"...then put a check in the "has image" box....then click on the "PIC" column .....then clik on "Sort by High Price". This will bring upa column of Houses for sale WITH PHOTOS.

      Go down the list and click on the photos....making a note of the Listings that have 5 to 10 or so photos of the property. You can use these photos to make your Videos.

      Now.....look down the column of photos. Are there any that stand out? Probably not. However....what if there were photos with a large "white triangle pointing to the right" ...in the middle of a Photo, indicating a Video might be there.

      Would THAT generate more clicks?

      There's a way to make photos LINK to your Video...which would give YOUR AGENT'S an Advantage. More Clicks = More Interest and More Listings from property owners.

      Thus.....by contacting Agents who've spent Time and Effort placing their Listings ON CL.....you reach better prospects!

      So....all you "Skeptos"....don't give THIS project another thought....while US who work this..... collect !....and, once you have an Agent paying you for your Videos....they wil pay you for MORE! PLUS...other Agents will see what your Agents are doing and WANT IN!!!

      And.....granted....if you can't get $190 or $150 for your Videos....go down to what YOU are comfortable with, for your Time.

      Also....I NEVER mention Price initially. I get Prospects to "Identify themselves first so I can "negotiate" with them.

      And finally....I am NOT Selling a Program here! Simply laying out something that's working for me. So....there you have it. No Samples .... NO Consultation....NO answers to all your questions. You will have to figure out HOW to do this yourself. It Ain't that hard!

        Also.....I forgot something I add to get my fee. A QR code that, when scanned by a smartphone, brings up the Listing.

        Agents can put these Codes on Flyers, in their Magazine & Newspaper ads AND....on a Sign that hangs below the regular For Sale sign so House-Hunters don't have to get out of their vehicles. Just drive up, stop and take a picture.

        I charge an extra $50 for the Hanging sign.....which is a Laminated sheet glued onto a piece of foam.

    I think its funny when I hear things like "this won't work in my area,"

    or "the market is oversaturated."

    Usually, there is no such thing....you'd be surprised how much money you can make properly marketing in an "oversaturated" industry.

    The reason why most people don't find success....is

    #1 They have a bad plan.

    #2 They don't stick around.

    I read that House Sales for July will be 450,000 (down from a "normal July" of 700,000.

    Well.....that's UP from June.....so....what does this mean to US" entroopeneers"?

    It means (to me) that real estate agents are starting to get More Listings and More "House Hunters'" contacting them.....which means more Cash in THEIR pockets!

    So.....how can us "entroopeneerial" people HELP THEM get more cash in their pockets?

    Well....I've found 2 ways to do this...and get PAID for MY help;
    1) Help RE Agents get More Sales
    and
    2) Help RE Agents get more Listings

    Now...a way I've found to collect money from my Target-Market is find a way for THEM to make money!...or.....Make it Easier!

    What I usually do is...place myself INTO the "bodies" of my Prospects"!

    Thus.....let's say I'm real estate agent and I have a few Listings I'd like to sell and....I'd like to get more property owners to List with me. So....I make up a Flyer on my puter and print out some flyers and put them into the box I provide in front of the property

    These flyers show a couple pictures of the property and my picture and contact info. I also pass the Flyers around....making sure they are in the Flyer Holders in the lobby of my RE Office.

    I also run some classifieds in the local "Shopper" and Newspaper..... HOPING "House-Hunters" will contact me!

    AND.....I also hope that other property owners THINKING ABOUT selling their property will see my promotion efforts and....contact ME to sell their property!

    Well.....HOGWASH!.......WHOOPEEE FIZZ! This is what EVERY AGENT does!

    So.......2 ways I've found to get RE Agents to Pay Me for MY service... is to help them......
    1) Get House-Hunters interested in THEIR property Listings
    and
    2) Get House-Sellers interested in having THEM List their property

    I can do both by making a "Video Tour" of their present Listings.


    I do what I call...."Videos On Spec"! I grab photos off existing Listings, make up short 60 to 90 sec videos.....using PhotoStory3 (including background music then.....here's the "SECRET" to making serious money with this.....hold onto yer hats!

    The 1st thing any Sales Person wants to do is....GET ATTENTION to.... WHAT.....they are selling!!!!

    So....little ol' you is sitting in yer comfy home office and wondering HOW yer gonna git enuf money to buy petrol and.....you really don't want to go out use gas to....visit your prospect....

    and....you don't want to phone your prospects telling them youve made this great Video that will help them sell it AND get other property owners, who see the Video to want to list with you....you know direct mail and email doesn't work....SO.....WHAT DO YOU DO?

    You send an email with.....THE ADDRESS of your
    RE agents Listing! in the SUBJECT LINE
    !

    "Re: 1326 SE Lane Ave"

    Now....if you were a RE Agent trying to sell a property at "1326 SE Lane Ave".....would YOU Click and see what it's about?.....thinking it might be someone interested in buying?

    IN A NEW YORK SECOND! YOU BET YER BIPPY!

    The RE Agent Listing this property .....at THIS address.....KNOWS.....this address could mean CASH IN THEIR POCKET! So.....their email box could have 3 or 4 hundred emails BUT.......the ONE email with the "Address" of the property they are trying to sell....will get OPENED FIRST! YOU BET YER BOOTS!

    Now.....here's what to do;
    Make the Video.....get the Listing Agent to see it and.....offer to sell it to them for $190 (RE Agents do not want to fork out much money BEFORE they get paid....IF they'll get paid) and, if they like the Video you made for this property.....I offer "3 Videos for $450" $150 each! and, guess what.....MOST want the "$450 for 3 Videos" dealee.

    So.....go to Craigs List.....find a property with 8 to 10 photos.....rt click the photos into a Text File.....make a Video using PS3......send an email with the ADDRESS OF THE PROPERTY in the Subject and.....WHALLA! $190 for 1 video...$450 for 3 and most will take the threebie!

    Anyways.....thanks for letting me toss out a little Marketing Tidbit that could save you lots of Time and TROUBLE and.....bring you "Lots of Bux"

      This is a gimmicky hustle... Nothing more. This is not a sustainable business.

      Not saying the merits of your idea are wrong - however the end product is terrible.

      Developing some "hacked up video" will in no way get someone decide to buy a home.

      When a home is bought - who drives that decision more often than not? Is it the man, or is it the woman?

      In MOST markets / instances, the woman is the one who drives that decision.

      So... if you're approaching RE Agents, maybe approach them with an offering that would a) get more women to the showings b) get more women to buy faster...

      Here's what I would do...


      ONE THING: If I were an RE Agent, I would love for the visuals of that home to immediately evoke an emotional connection with the prospective buyer.

      Why? Humans make buying decisions based on the way we feel. In the case of a house, what words do people use to describe it? "Dream house" "I love my home" - big, emotional words...

      So, if I really wanted to deliver something truly great. I am going to approach an RE Agent and offer to work for free for him in support of his BEST listing.

      My video production team and I would work with the sellers to have my directory of photography spend some time with the family filming candid shots. We'd stage first - but in a sublte way, you know do things like mow the grass and remove that ugly photo everyone hates, but dad loves.

      We want to catch that precious moment of dad reading to his little girl in front of the fireplace, we want that shot of mom giving dad a kiss goodbye in the beautiful foyer as he gets off to work, we want candid shots of mom being mom, or mom and dad sharing alone time...

      "We'd stage" a busy day - and edit it in post production with some licensed "emotional" music.

      Hell, you don't even have to go "emotional." Reality TV is a proven business model. Make a mini 2-3 minute Reality TV Show Entitled; "123 Cherry Hill Drive" and have it centered around the dog. "A Dog's Day at 123 Cherry Hill Drive."

      I'm just brainstorming but if I took the time I could storyboard something sick, but you get the point.

      MAKE THE HOME MORE "TANGIBLE" - MAKE PEOPLE IMAGINE THEMSELVES BEING LIKE THE PEOPLE IN THAT HOME. OWNING A HOME IS ASPIRATIONAL. SHOW THEM / REMIND THEM OF WHAT THEY ASPIRE TO!!

      I'd then give him the video and also RANK IT FOR HIM. Ranking local videos can be done in less than a month.

      I'd take it a step further and rank it for national terms....

      Great products speak for themselves....

      I produced, wrote and directed 6 hilariously funny live action commercials last month, and created 3 animated videos and didn't make a single outbound call, e-mail, nothing...

        Click on the Video at the right side. Also read some of the Reasons Why Video helps sell houses. Then, see what you get for $199.

        There are many more biznesses that provide these so....there MUST be something to this!

        The videos I create with PS3 give the impression of "movement".

        You also might want to check out Craig Brower's recent WSO which shows how HE makes these videos for realtors.

        Most of my Agents say they use them to "Save Gas AND Time" by showing House-Hunters, VIDEOS of their listings on their pc in their offices THEN....they go visit those that appeal to their House-Hunters.

          Hmmm.. a couple things I notice.

          1. They have a website, wow that must mean they are doing tons of videos, so does my website business that has one client in progress and 0 projects completed. My website is far superior to theirs.

          2. They actually go out and shoot real video, not string together photos they agent has already taken.

          3. Yes you are right, you can probably sell these videos to a few agents with enough marketing hustle. You are basically talking about scamming / not providing real value. I don't think you will ever turn it into a true business the way you are describing it, not one with any longevity at least. You will have to visit the property and shoot actual video. What you are describing is a virtual tour, not a video, and is worth $40 tops, IMHO. My MLS actually creates a virtual tour automatically after you upload the photos. The photography company creates a better virtual tour if you hire them.

    A shared idea is a gift in and of itself so hopefully you just brush the dirt off your shoulders and keep on sharing. Whoever it's meant for will get what they want from it, not feel entitled to the experience without actually creating it.

    But I don't blame you for having boundaries as to how deep into your business you go when you share something. We all should, shouldn't we?

    I just hate to see you catch so much heat just about every time you share something though.

  • Wow, reading this tread makes me not want to read here in the warrior forum. I never seen some many negative comments. A guy sharing what he did to make some money and all of the negative comments, wow. I see why most the people here don't make any money. You have to try it for yourself. It might work for you and it might not. You never know until you try. I have learned what I didn't think would sell sold. And what I thought was a great ideal wasn't so great. Test Test and Test.

    How about selling these videos to the For Sale By Owner section of Craigslist?

    Watermark the tar out of them & offer the clear version plus ranking it (Fiverr gigs) for a price.

    Would probably work for boats & high end cars as well.

    I had a 42 foot catamaran that took me over a year to sell. I wish I had known about video marketing at the time. I'd have happily paid $200 bucks to help me get rid of that thing.

    I hired a broker & wound up paying him $2500. It was money well spent.

    Im doing this today. One problem-how do i watermark the videos? Im making some now, but no idea how to watermark. Do i do this somehow within photostory, or after the videos are made?

    My other concern is that most of them say 'it is not ok to contact this poster with commercial concerns' or something similar. What to do about that?

      Understand ONE thing; VIDEOS SELL!

      Photos are good BUT....RE Agents have been using Photos to sell their Listings since when cameras were available. Consumers, nowadays, want VIDEOS!

      VIDEOS with background music and....especially VIDEOS with background music AND ....."VOICE-OVERS"!

      And...."GoingUp";
      to make a "WaterMark" (you NEED WaterMarks to prevent potential clients, or anyone else from using YOUR videos)...just create a single page with YOUR Contact info....and place this page IN THE MIDDLE OF your Video and....at the end.

      This also lets OTHER potential RE Agents see WHO you are .....so they can contact you to make Video Tours for them.

      NOTE: If you have Windows 7 or 8, Windows Live Movie Maker can place a "watermark" ON each photo or.....just place YOUR Contact Info on the last page (Produced by Joe Blow Marketing.com)

      Also....think about doing "Video Tours" for local NON-Franchised HOTELS and other businesses.

      Holy Camoly....I just returned from a visit with the owner of our local Comfort Inn. SHE owns the business and can promote it ANY way SHE wants! She wants me to "do a Promo Video for her hotel"!

      Then....as I'm in the lobby talking with the owner about doing a Promo Video for her hotel....her Plumber is "listening into" the conversation and asks me if I could do a "PromoVideo" for HIS biz.

      Hey folks....Video is HOT!

      My goodness....just make a couple of free Mock-Ups to use as samples. Burn them to a DVD.....go to Wally-World and buy a Portable DVD Player
      .... insert your Demo DVDs and....GO SHOW THEM TO POTENTIAL CLIENTS!

      And.....do NOT be concerned with any "Legality issues" as mentioned above by the "Never-Stuck-Yer-Neck-Out" negatits.

          CAN-SPAM is designed to stop bulk emails being sent all over the web, not individual emails.

          As I said above, think how it could work. Here's a thought - how many emails will you send/ 10?, 20? Just write however many individual letters you need to the real estate agents, put them in envelopes, and stick stamps on them. Enclose a QR code to the video you made, and say that you hope they don't mind if you've used their own photos, but you haven't published it anywhere. See? A simple answer for those scared of the CAN-SPAM bogeyman.

          OK Sasha, I'll show you one of mine I did some years ago. The agent loved it. (And yes, I know I've used the second movement from Beethoven's Ninth Symphony as the backing music - if I was doing it again I would use uncopyrighted music)
          And yes, I know it's pretty amateurish, I took the photos myself on my phone (it was my own rental property) - next time I would use professional photos.

          So think positively - sell yours for half that, $50, hell sell them for $20 if you like.
          How much would it cost you to make them? The video I show above is just a template. To do another one, I just change the photos and the address of the property - 15 minutes work at the most.

          Like Don says, give the real estate agent a QR code for him to stick on his advertising board. QR code goes straight to the video you made.

          At $50 a pop, say a real estate sent you three properties a month, that's $150 a month. You've got 10 agents to do this for. That's $1500 a month.

          I can hear you now "You'll never get 10 agents", "They'll never pay me $50", "Too much work".

          Who cares? Figure out how much you can charge, how many agents you could get, how much time you would have to spend. Then decide if it's worth doing or not. It's that simple.

          I know what will happen - most people will throw their arms in the air and say "It's all too hard", and move on to the nest WSO, which they'll buy and add to all the other dust covered WSO relics they've got sitting on their hard drive.

          OK, rant over, I feel better now.

          If there are two things to take out of this post, it's these:

          1. Look at an idea, and work out how it could work for you in your circumstances. If you can't see it working, by all means go on to something else, but at least think about it for a while before you do.

          2. If you think the idea is viable, run with it. Put it into practice today. In this case, make a video with pictures of a property. Write the letters to the real estate agents. Post the letters. Do it today - not tomorrow, not on the weekend - today.

          What's the very worst thing that could happen? Answer? You get not one reply.
          So what? Now you know it won't work, and you're not relying on someone else saying it won't work.

          So, once again, don't mope about how none of Don's ideas will ever work, get off your backsides and figure how to make them work!

            Who cares? I do and obviously others do on this forum. My question was a fair straight up question of how many RE agents he has sold recently. With no answer.

            Who made you the arbiter of what is fair feedback/questions to threads and posts?

                Something NEW that's been TESTED TO WORK!

                Charge realtors $450 for a "Video Tour" with $150 initially and $300 when it sells!

                If realtor doesn't pay the balance....never do another Video for him/her!

                Also....I am NOT "stealing" photos from realtors. I am using their photos to create a Video Tour for THEM to use!

                These Videos are NOT MADE PUBLIC! They are "Unpublished" and only for the eyes of the realtor who has the Listing! If the realtor buys the Video,they can do whatever they want with it!

                And....we contact these realtors by phone....asking if they'd like to see our Video Tour. If they do...I email the video to them!

                And....the $450 fee is for the expensive properties. For houses selling less than $100,000 it's $300 with $100 deposit and $200 when property sells!

                Haha... listening to all of you whine about getting proof of an idea is making me laugh so hard i'm ready to fall off of my chair. I'm not saying this idea would work, or wouldn't work for that matter, but do you guys realize that your criticizing an idea that was given to you for FREE? LOL.. come on people! He's not charging you for the idea, nor is he asking you to sign up to list for the idea. It's just an idea.

                This is a forum for things exactly like this and to be honest with you, I prefer reading these threads over buying WSO's. At least this is free.

                Take it for what it's worth to you. People thought the Wright Bros. were crazy for trying to fly, and people also thought the internet was a fad. It may work for some, and may not work for others, but thanks for the free info for the people that actually want to try to make something work and not complain about how a free idea will never work. Just my .02

                OK, I'll tell you I sold the videos like the one I posted for $50 all up, no further commitment from the real estate agent, just a flat $50.
                Is that proof enough for you? Of course not, I could have just made that up.

                Supposing it were true, is that proof that this will work? Again, of course not. That was then and this is now. My town is not your town, my videos are not the same quality as your videos, I have different real estate agents to you, so my proof is valueless.
                As I said before, it's just an idea for you to evaluate, and either run with it or give it the flick.

    I found a 360 photo site that is good for homes and anything else you do photos and upload they host for you as long as you need for a monthly fee can upload as many as you want must see for yourself would add to what this threads about.Google youspin it's a .co site I have no affiliation with it.
