Awesome work! I would charge no less than $20 per lead and I would immediately put up another 25 to 50 sites in 25 to 50 other markets. Once you have the niche's little "quirks" figured out and the pricing down right then it's just a matter of "speed to market" with dozens of more sites.

I would find out what the average price of the job is. Homewyse provides allot of info. Ask your current client what his average billing is and how much of that he takes home after his costs. Then you will have a better idea of what a fair price per lead is. No less than $20 per lead I think would be fair.

If you start working with companies that do the higher end fencing (such as fancy iron or high-end security type fences etc) then price above $30 ++ per lead.

You've got most of the hardest part behind you now that you have the niche figured out. Now its just a matter of scaling it up. Great job!

I have 2 fencing sites. One gets leased and the other I sell the leads.

With the lead site I called a few fencers in my area just to find out the average profit from building a fence. When I found out I immediately doubled and added 10% to my charge per lead. If your guy gets 28 calls and closes 1 in 3 he is profiting over 10K per month just from your service and it is costing him $600-$700. He should be happy.

How much is each sale worth to him? A lot probably!

Great work.

Now I would increase how much you are selling these for, use that customer as a testimonial and get at least 1k a month if the leads are that qualified.

In my area, wood fences go seem to start at $1,600. In any case, I paid $2,100 for a fence with a pretty big gate 5 or 6 years ago (one side and back of house).

There may be something to this lead stuff after all.

Those 28 leads that was sent to your client were they all from people doing search on Google and clicking on your lead gen site and then calling your client?

Is the site ranking at top of page 1 for your main keyword and related kws? What sort of traffic did the site get in that time frame from which 28 called?

Is your main kw also used as an EMD?

They were all people doing searches on Google that found my website, video or other marketing piece on the business.

Different parts rank better than others. I have some videos that are a the top of page 1 and some that didn't do so well. The website hasn't done as well as I would like but I am working on that now.

Honestly, most of the leads are coming from videos and a couple of other things I am doing to promote the business.

Not sure about the actual traffic. Sad to say but I didn't set it up to track that when I started. Amazing how well it is doing all things considered.

I would agree you can up the price quite a bit. Our avg lead price over several industries is just shy of $25.00. And we are seeing the same as you - those buying them are thrilled to get them.

Here's a fantastic resource to help determine your price. You can usually charge between 5% and 10% of the average price of the job / service. Of course this does vary by the amount of expenses eaten up by the service on the business-owners side - but this is a great starting point.

For your lead gen site did you use a simple WP theme to set it up or use a WSO from here for your theme?

Is the site a big site with many articles or just the main focus and content is on homepage with a strong CTA with a about, contact us, TOS, etc.. pages?

You just have your CF number in a few spots and no real address or name of the business mentioned on the site?

hi can anyone tell me exactly how they are generating leads for different businesses if possible the whole strategy and how easy is it . i have a client of mine who would be happy to pay for leads and i need to be able to generate leads for them .

he needs it to generate patients for a dental practice and is ready to pay for leads can someone give me some idea or help would be much appreciated.

It is really pretty simple.

Choose the keywords that people are searching for when they are buying and create a basic website based on those.

Here is a big tip...don't go for the high search volume keywords everyone else is trying to rank for. Go for the ones that are getting 100 or so searches a month. They are way easier to rank for and a few of those will still total several hundred searches a month in total.

Do the same with videos made around those same keywords.

Add a little cheap/no cost advertising and presto...leads for that business.

I used the 2011 WP theme that is the default theme when you install WordPress.

The fencing site is just 2 pages. The home page and a contact us page. Nothing special in any way. I am, however, doing more with the new sites I am doing. I am choosing 5 keyword phrases and naming a page for each one to help with the SEO and pulling leads on each keyword.

The CF number is placed several times on the site with a strong call to action each time. I do reference a business "name" but as I said in the first thread, it is a generic type business name such as "Premier Fencing Services."

Update for August.

After showing my fence guy's lead generation campaign a little more love, I was able to generate 50 qualified leads for him in August.

At $12 each I invoiced him for $600.

I am afraid he is about to be overwhelmed with business, though. I noticed he was starting to get alot of callbacks from the same numbers (I don't charge him for duplicate numbers) and after listening to some of the recordings I can tell he is having a hard time fulfilling his commitments.

Not sure where to go with this information, though.

What sort of 'love' did you show the lead gen site? Just seo love or did you use YouTube or cl ads in the mix?

well if he is seriously converting them it's his problem to then take on another worker/contractor and keep on converting your leads .

Did you have an agreement in place that he was the only one you were generating the leads for or could you now offer them to others for more $$.
