Where tourists hang out in Hawaii? I think Hotels and .......
What average age are the businesses clients? Some Hotels are maybe not a good target.

Find out where your target group is and advertise there.

Target vacation and destination blogs that visitors to Hawaii frequent. Offer to write guest blog posts and use content to draw in potential customers who read these blogs to get ideas for their vacations and are doing their research.

In blog posts, write about things they ought to know about surfing in Hawaii.

They ought to also have their own blog to do this with.

We've been to Hawaii (Waikiki in Honolulu to be precise) twice in the last 11 months and the way they advertise out there can be very direct and at times 'in your face.'

What I mean by this is that there are people on streets handing out flyers for the throngs of tourists that seem to be walking up and down the streets along the beach 24x7.

Hotels also have desks for tourists seeking information from everything from surfing lessons to cruises and tours.

My Mrs. would grab these leaflets and flyers from those offering them on the street, from hotel lobbies and then head over to the internet to do some more research. That's how we'd figure out what to do next.

One thing I will say is that when you're in Hawaii as a tourist you tend to pick up information from the easiest and most convenient place and also talk to hotel staff to find out what's the real good stuff. So getting into hotels via their tourist information desks would be one way to go.

Hiring people to hand out the flyers and sorting out how to pay them would be a challenge unless you were actually in Hawaii or you had people you trust on the ground and you were sharing profits somehow.

The question is, what Island and what area are they in? Honolulu? Waikiki? Ko'olina? Kihei, Maui? Ka'anapali, Maui? etc. you get the point.

Is this something they offer already on the beach? i.e. are they already getting a lot of walk up customers?

What else have they been doing to advertise already? Have they claimed their space on Trip Advisor and others?
