Testing Ideas - Analysing Adwords Campaign

Hey guys,

I've run a test campaign on Adwords for a website idea that I've had.

I set up a 2 page website with a short sales page and call to action that puts you through to a signup form.

Over 4 days of having my ads up, I have had 219 clicks from 9.5K Impressions, so my CTR is 2.32%, from this traffic I had 18 signups, so roughly 4-5 per day, you could say my on-site conversions have been 8.21% ( if my maths is correct.)

I've run 3 different campaigns for different websites and this one has been by far the best.
In terms of CTR I've heard that its hard to judge because impressions mean that the ad has been displayed on the page yet doesn't indicate whether or not the person actually saw the ad (e.g. if the ad was below the search results the person probably didn't scroll down).

How do you gauge if this campaign has been successful or not and if it would be good to go ahead with the website idea?

I myself like to remain optimistic and believe that if I set up this website and had proper content, a proper sales letter and more social proof to show then the response would be far greater. Also over time I would tweak the Adwords campaign / increase my spend to get better results.

Any advice would be helpful if someone has experience in this,

Thanks in advance
