Many PPC companies like Adwords do not allow affiliates to have the PPC ads go directly to an affiliate URL. If you know of some good PPC companies that do allow this I would appreciate you sharing.

If you are looking for good quality traffic and want to direct link campaigns then Bing is your only option else you can give PPV traffic a try but you will need $500 and up to test the traffic as $500 is the minimum threshold required to split test traffic with PPV ad networks like 50onred, Leadimpact and Trafficvance...actually it's $1000 for LI and TV from what i know but TV is like invite based and only for US based publishers.

That's not true. Google Adwords allows affiliate PPC, it all comes down to the landing page you are promoting and if the company you are promoting allows for direct PPC. For example you could promote Amazon as an affiliate through Adwords.

Like Dan says, all PPC allow some variation of direct linking.

However you have to make sure you adhere to the T&C's. Also, if you are DL to a geo specific CPA beware as the person approving the ad may not be in the same country as your offer and will not approve it.

Considering what people spend on ad testing then you would be foolish not to go down the LP route. If you are serious about it that is.

Do a LP, ensure its valid to the destination URL, keyword rich and not spammy. Then you cant be in contradiction of their T&Cs

    Hope that helps

Fairly new to affiliate marketing (as a publisher) so I'm trying to wrap my head around this. I planned on creating a LP like you said and include a free report / download related to the industry genre (like work from home but not product specific) so I could also build an email list from the traffic.

Have you (or anyone else reading this) done this as well and does it work? I know that asking for an email might lower the click-through to the specific affiliate offer, but I'm OK with that as long as I'm building my own very valuable email list from my efforts.

      Thoughts?

I believe some of the lower tier PPC platforms allow it including most PPV platforms.

However, I found the best way to maximise your ROI is to control the landing page as well. That's why I always build my own micro-sites and do host & post for any CPL products (i.e. just send them the raw leads).

That also allows me to advertise on Adwords, BING and also Facebook which is where all the action is nowadays.

    Hope that helps

As recent as today, I have been able to use an affiliate url on Bing Ads with no problem. I even asked a tech support about several months ago and he/she said that is was fine.

Not with all networks. You can't do that with Peerfly links.

mskalla, first and foremost as been said, your landing page, whether your own or direct linking, must follow all T&Cs. If there's any doubt in your mind, hold off, especially when direct linking.

As for asking for email, depending on how you do it, it may be against T&C. You're right about lower clickthrough to the affiliate. I'm sure you probably landed on such pages. How many times have you put in your email? Very rarely for me.

You need to give me more details since I searched for something related to your offer. Also think about what you spent to get me there. If only 25% give their email, you paid and never got your message to 75% of visitors. That's a lot of money just for clicking on your ad. At least with a proper sales message - which is what Google wants - you have a better chance to sell to me. You can also ask for an email. Do test this but I think you'll be better off telling me why I'm there and not just asking for an email.

I never had a problem with Clickbank products on 7search.com. The traffic was lower than bigger PPC companies of course.

If you are serious about business, I wouldn't actually suggest you to do direct linking, but invest some time and money in your own landing page instead.

I have been direct linking with Bing for the last few months and have been pretty successful considering I am still new to all of this. Im looking at starting to create some landing pages just to see if I can increase my sales. Although it does not make a lot of sense to me, its another click/page that the potential buyer must go through to get to the offer. I only promote offers that have a nice clean sales page that dont look like a scam. I just cant see how creating another sales page for each of my offers would increase the amount of conversions.

Bing does allow you to direct link. Many others do too, but bing is by far the best quality. Otherwise I would recommend you to get started with PPV. They do good with direct linking.

Bing is definitely a good start.

Most of the PPV networks requires a substantial deposit
before you even manage to get your feet in their door.

Some of the guys I know are even using landers with PPV...

Bing allow to promote your direct link, 7Search do the same and bidvertiser also do the same.

But if you are looking for porn and adult traffic we do the same. We allow direct CPA link for promotion.
