Hello everyone,*
I recently launched my own affiliate site* 4 months ago and since then i am struggling with tracking my results.**
The issue: I need to track which keyword is generating the conversion that occurs in offers i promote so i can optimise. ( Usually i get paid based on registration or sale)*Someone told me that i can do it by generating gclid and passing it to the offer but how ? Do i need to have a tracking software to do this ? Can someone help on that ?
Thank you in advance

Hi GCLID is the tracking parameter that is used between Google Ads and Google Analytics, it's essentially auto tagging and reduces the need for tagging up a URL in an ad. Since Google will provide an API it is possible to grab this GCLID parameter for use in your own tracking. I only have experience of this with Google text ads, whereby I take the GCLID and strip out basic ad data such as keyword, campaign name etc and add it to a CRM which I then combine with form conversion data. That way I have a field in the CRM that has the form data and google ad date combined.
